› Forum › THE LOUNGE › Building With Bunnies Blog: Huge Update!
I decided to make this “Blog” type thing of our house being built! I thought some of you guys would be interested and since this a rabbit forums I thought I would share my experiences on building while having bunnies.
First I wanted to show you some pictures of the bunnies I JUST took a few minutes ago. My grandma yelled up to me and said the bunnies would make a cute picture right now and she was right! Look at these two cuties!

So far the bunnies have been doing good through this time. Since we live with my grandparents at the moment they don’t get to come out of their cage and they are going crazy! Every time I leave the pen unlatched they push it open and are gone! I am working on making a little NIC cube fence so they can run around in the storage room and I try to let them in their outdoor pen but there are a lot of acorns in there right now.
Now onto our house. We started building around the end of July.
First they dug for the foundation of the basement.
Then they put up the frames so they could cement our basement walls. Our basement is a walk out basement so half is under ground and half is not.
Here is what the walls look like after they took the frames off.
Then the view from on top
Then they poured the cement floor yesterday!
It is hard to tell from the pictures on what it really looks like. I am super excited for our house to be finished but sadly everything wont be done until Nov. or Dec.
That’s so exciting. =] It looks like you’re going to have a beautiful backyard you lucky!
what cute bumbas! (as chachca would say )
I love watching houses be built. My parents are currently living in a house they built (modified from a model). My dad loved taking pictures on the 35mm to develop and show us (having a moment of feeling old). But what was really cool was seeing the progress. And it’s nice to be able to move in to a clean new home
FrankieFlash: We haven’t moved into a house yet without redoing it. 2 houses ago their was an unfinished basement so we finished that, and our last house was completely redone! The people who owned it before us had built it themselves and let me say, it was the stupidest layout EVER! We redid a lot of the walls and repainted everything! It will be nice to have everything the way we want it! I will say it is more work then I thought it would be…
Eeek! I’m looking forward to watching your progress on the house. Our family built our current house 10 years ago. 2 full years of blood, sweat and tears went into it. But it is a beautiful masterpiece and we adore it!!!! It’s very stressful but you get exactly what you want, and you pay much less then you would if you just bought one. And at least it’s custom made to your liking! Your buns are soooo cute!!! Are they a boy and girl couple? They are priceless!
Mocha & lulu are so cute! And the building pictures are great, it looks beautiful out there. I hope the buns will love it!
I would love to get a house custom built, seems like a lot of work but the end result would be well worth it I’m sure.
Cristina: Yes, Mocha and Lulu are a boy/girl pair.
I should post pictures of our lake view!
Here is the lake view looking out on our dock.
Here is the beautiful sunset we see every night. (picture off of my grandparents dock next door to ours.)
Dang Mocha! Can I move in with you? ;P It looks absolutely beautiful! Where in the world did you move to that it’s so pretty?
We are in [Edited: in the north woods of WI.] [Mocha, it’s Rabbitpam here. I deleted the name of the town you wrote because I just read your post about someone giving you problems online, and I didn’t want you to post the name of this town you are in. Better safe than sorry, right? You might find someone you don’t know sitting on your beautiful dock…Me! Love it!] I love it up here! Everyone think we are crazy to move up into the cold north woods. But, we love it!
You are not crazy! You’re so lucky you live in the cold. I miss having seasons. =p I grew up in a city about an hour away from San Fran. in Cali before I moved to FL. I loved the cold weather and changing of the seasons. You don’t get that in FL. You get hot, really hot, warm, and a warm cold. I’ve been begging my bf to let us move up north when he’s done with school. I’m thinking New York or northern Washington. =]
Just found out that they are framing up our house on Mon! I am so excited! Once they get the roof on the bunnies can move in!
I love Washington state, however people always complain about the rain. Hey, we could have a lot worse like extreme weather!
Mocha, I love the views
@LoveChaCha If it’s just rain then it doesn’t bug me. =p I hate Florida rain though. Florida has these insane thunder storms where the house literally shakes from the thunder. In the past couple of months we’ve had thunder strike right over the house at least three times. I have to sit with Skipper on my lap during the storms because she’s so freaked out.
@Mocha What is framing a house?
Framing is when they put up all of the wood for the walls. Sometimes you call it studs in the walls. I will post pictures tomorrow of what framing looks like.
That’s so exciting! =]
We forgot to take a picture last night of the framing so we took it this morning! It is starting to take shape and is easier to figure out what it will look like!
They started putting up some of the basement walls today! The rest of the basement walls will go up tomorrow! I can finally see it coming into shape! The rooms look bigger then I thought they would!
Our living room ( you can see where the windows and door will be)
If you turn to the left you see our scrapbook room (on right) and the hallway (on left) Yes, its a big craft room!
View from above!
Thanks RP! Didn’t think about that!
Looks good
Oh my gosh! So jelly. ;P I’ve always wanted a basement so bad! Stupid Florida with terrible sandy soil and sink holes. >.<
Wow! I have a lot to catch up on! I took a little weekend off at the campground to try and relax (which was a fail) and I came back and so much had been done!
They put the main level floor on
The also put walls on the outside of the basement
They put up ALL the walls in the basement (just the frames as of right not, can’t drywall till we have a roof) This is the view when you walk in the big door from our basement. (they took off that sideways board, in the picture above)
And now they are wiring the basement! The most boring part, Haha!
They have two of our upper level walls up today! at the end of the day I will be sure to post pictures of how far they got!
They started putting up the walls on the main level yesterday!
I am thinking by tonight they will all be up!
This is so cool! It looks like it’s going to be massive aha ! Can’t wait to see the finished product.
Yeah it looks huge! Do you know what the square footage will be? Beautiful property right on the lake, I’m jealous!
It is around 3200sq. ft. It is the biggest house we have ever had! My mom is becoming overwhelmed on how big it seems! She doesn’t want such a big house to clean! Haha
It must be exciting to see your house being built! I’ve lived in the same house my whole life (21 years) and it was brand new back then. Now it’s old and wearing down. I would love to see my own house being built, that would be neat! Maybe one day I will! =D
Oh and BTW, you live in a gorgeous area!! I bet the bunnies are going to love being outside in that green, green grass!! (if you let them outside?)
Oh they LOVE it! I have a very safe outdoor pen that I built last year but added a lot to it this year! I am going to make a post about it as soon as I get the video to upload!
I wish I lived there! haha my grass is dull and dying in my backyard but Rascal likes to dig in the dirt apparently so it’s okay for him. I put the pen for the bunnies half on grass and half on the dirt/dead grass. I guess the sprinklers don’t reach that spot LOL Poor grass. =(
Awww, I’m soo jealous! I used to live Western NY (a year and 2 months ago) and the scenery was always really beautiful with lots of outdoors and since I’ve moved to Pittsburgh I don’t see anything but city life. Sometimes I miss not being able to lay in the grass with a nice book all comfortable with no noise but nature — but I really enjoy the city too! And because of Pittsburgh I have my bunbuns so I can’t be unhappy. We live in a condo that I love but I can’t wait until we get older and sell this place and HOPEFULLY get a house with a yard! (He totally doesn’t want a yard because he hates yard work!)
Wooot! I am so excited! By tomorrow my room will be framed in! They only finished one half of the house though, which is pretty much my parents room/closet/bathroom! Their closet is bigger then my room! Haha! Now for the pictures!
All the upper walls are up but the one on top of the “jut out” not sure if that’s what you call it!
View from the back of the house.
View from front of the house!
Garage (located just to the left of the other picture)
The laundry room on the left, my parents closet is behind it. The stairs and then my parents room on the right and their bathroom to the right of that ( but you can’t see the bathroom in this picture!).
Dining room on the other end of the house
And tonight’s sunset.
THis thread is called “Building with bunnies” So I thought I should give you a long overdue update on them!
They have been doing great! We had a struggle with finding hay that they would actually eat (why are bunnies so picky) but have now found the perfect kind! I think they are handling this better then me actually! I am SO stressed out that I can’t be organized in that room that other things aren’t organized that I just have to blind myself from it (I guess its my OCD showing in me). Its a storage room and half the stuff is ours so I have to realize its just temporary! I want to organize it all SO BAD! haha! I also feel like the bunnies don’t have enough space! They have a 2×3 condo (which is to small for even 1 rabbit to live in, not to mention 2!) with a 4×6 pen attached so the main level is a 4×8! I know that’s not terribly small but my bunnies (and me) are used to being free range in a whole room!
They also have to be in a pen at all times so exercise is hard. For awhile they would go a week at a time with out any time out of their pen because its always bad weather outside or I am gone! I felt awful! So, the other day I used all of my NIC cubes to make another 3ft, pen the size of an xpen to create an area for them to run around in. Here it is!
The whole area you see in this picture is about is about an 8x10ft. which is about the same size as my old room, but they only get to play when they are supervised in the evenings.
If you turn around there is more pen.
and more pen when you turn the corner.
It wouldn’t bbother me so much if the bunnies would run around when I let them out! But they just sit and stare out side of the pen, wishing they could crawl through those bins just one more time! ( they have escaped and it is hard to get them when they hid in between the bins) and then they furiously grab the bars with their teeth and shake the whole pen trying to move it! It helps if I block their view with a towel ( like in the first picture) but all their other bunny blankets are currently dirty.
Sigh….what to do what to do!
awww well it’s only temporary that’s what you have to keep thinking of. I know when I had my two bunnies bonding in the one x-pen they didn’t have as much room as I’d like them to but I just had to think it was temporary and they would be in bunny paradise soon. lol
When is the house supposed to be done so you can move in and the bunnies can settle in?
3200 sqft, that’s a lot! How many people will be living there? Just you and your parents?
Amys Animals: It is supposed to be done by late Nov. or Dec.
Hazel: Yup! haha! My sister is going to be living here too for 1 semester before she goes to collage.
Awesome. I’m hoping to get a house that size when we go house shopping. Love the walk out basements
Wow, when you and your sister are moved out your parents will have SO much room!!
Our house is 1800 something sq ft, but it’s just Hubby and I, so it works out. We are gonna have to stop getting more pets though, or it’ll get too crammed! At least you won’t have that problem!
Hazel: The plan was to have a max of a 1800 sq. ft. but some how we ended up with this…… haha!
My grandparents have a pretty good sized house too and its was great for when their kids and grand kids came up! their was a room for everyone! So maybe that’s what she was thinking! idk!
They framed up my room today! YAY! I am going to post pictures soon!
My Room! Right here is the view from the window. Strait ahead is my closet and to the left is my door. Oh and did I forget to mention this is just the rabbit room? I will sleep in a attic room right above my room! Their will be a latter I climb up to get into my room!
This is the view from the other end of the room.
This is cool to see! It looks like the new house is in a really pretty area. I love not living in the city.
I am so freaking jealous!!! I want one of those secret ladder rooms :'(. You’re so lucky!!! And a whole bunny room!!!
WOW! I have a LOT to catch up on! I have been pretty busy this week with school starting, getting foster bunnies, and visiting my sister.
The view from the front of the house. As you can tell they have done a lot! All the walls are up and they are now working on the roof! Once the roof is done, they can start dry walling!
View from back of the house. (there isn’t really a wall on the left side yet because it will be mostly windows.)
Now for my room! I showed my already, but here is the attic room right above it! It is bigger then the lower room! Hopefully you can tell where it is, it is right above the latter!
Mocha can I live with you? =p I’m a starving college student with no money but I’m a mean cook. ;P (Teasing of course. =]) Your house is gorgeous! Maybe one day I’ll hit the lotto and live somewhere as nice. =D
Skipper: Haha! The collage in this town is a very good culinary arts school!
I think I may have to steal the blueprints for that house and build one for myself
Your house looks amazing, I hope you keep updating us
Omg, what a beautiful place! The view off that dock alone is amazing. Can I live in your yard in a tent? 😉
I can’t wait to see how it looks after you guys move in and decorate.
I kept forgetting to post pictures… sorry guys!
They finished putting plywood on the roof.
Today they are putting on the shingles (How would you like to stand on that ladder?)!
My mom asks me today. “How do you like the color of the shingles?” I was like “I don’t know” Truth is, When I am looking at a house I don’t even notice the shingle color! LOL It took my Mom and Dad awhile to pick them out though! Haha!
The are also making the kitchen wall today! (I didn’t even know we were going to have one) Now that I see it, Our kitchen is huge! I was like, Oh my goodness! You can’t really tell from this picture so I will have to get a better one later.
They are building the floors and walls for my upstairs bedroom right now! I don’t have a picture of it yet because I didn’t really want to crawl up there and get in their way, but I will have pictures soon! I am so excited! Windows and doors come on Monday!
Most of the time they put a piece of plywood down on the horizontal ladder so they can walk on it safely It’s quite handy!
Monkeybun: No the other one isn’t a latter its some sort of thing made for walking on but it is still scary looking! haha!
My upstairs room! They added the walls and the floors! (you can see our cat Emmet! haha! Don’t worry! We got him down!)
The view from the other end of the room! ( LOL my moms in the picture! haha!)
And this is the hole where the stairs will be. It will be pull down stairs so when I am not using it I can pull it up and walk on top. if that makes since. I am a little worried that when I open it it might hit a bunny down below… Not sure how I am going to do that yet.
Here is a better view of the kitchen…. kind of….
View from above
Another view from ground level
And our fire place. This will just a gas one. Our wood stove will be in the basement.
Could you build a little fence around where the stairs fall mocha? Or nic cube temporarily. That way you don’t have to worry about squishing them and they don’t get scared by it either. The house looks fantastic. I remember how scary it is to walk through an unfinished house thought and how my parents obsessed over little details like shingle colors. lol
FrankieFlash: Haha!
This is so cool! I love looking at the pictures from when my parents built their house before I was born. Especially the before and after pictures of what is now the yard- they live in the woods and had to clear trees in order to build.
Wow, looking good! I go on fishing trips every year to Wisconsin!!! I live in Northern Iowa, about an hour away from Wisconsin! – I go there a lot to go to Cabela’s
Abbybunnies82: Wow! Cool!
This is soooo freaking neat and it’s coming along so nicely!
The Windows, Doors, and Gas fireplace are in! We are still waiting for the upstairs living room windows to go in though. Here is some pictures!
Basement Windows
Basement living room french doors and windows.
Upstairs door (It will lead onto a deck)
Upstairs gas fireplace. They didn’t put it together so all of the pieces are still rapped up inside.
Last night we had a neighbor over for diner. Randomly the lights start flickering, we look out over the lake and see some storm clouds! Me and my sister were excited for a good thunder storm and I wanted the electricity to go out! (don’t ask me why, but I just think its fun!) Of coarse not for a whole day or anything, but for maybe a hour or two. Anyways, back to the story. So the sky turns dark quickly and soon their was rain and hail. My Dad was hoping the hail didn’t get any bigger and crash through one of our brand new windows. Luckily it was just pea sized. The lightning was AMAZING and me and my sister took front row seats in my grandparents living room in front of their big windows! Sadly the storm didn’t last long though. Today we found out that the storm was actually a gustnado and power was out for awhile in town. I hadn’t ever heard of a gustnado but apparently it can be like a tornado with out the swirling clouds. If you type in “gustnado” on google you can find out more about them. Pretty interesting. Probably shouldn’t have been by the windows….
My Grandma is very outdoorsy. She loves to hunt, garden, walk, hike, canoe, kayak, watch birds, swim, and just sit outside and drink coffee! Yesterday she tells me “Don’t tell your mom, but when you guys move out I am going to miss the smell of your bunnies!” Of coarse she meant the hay and litter not the actual bunnies. My mom heard what she said and laughed about just putting a bale of hay in her basement. All’n’all Things are going pretty well!
That’s hysterical what your grandma said! Whenever we go to the pet store and get there hay — we always end up with a car that smells like hay and it’s sooooooooo good. It sits in the closet though so only the closet ever smells like hay now. I grew up on a farm with horses and such so I LOVEEEE the smell of hay.
Mocha it sounds like you have such a fun loving family. =] The house looks like it’s coming along great!
OK! I am excited to bring you the newest update one our house!
They have started putting on the siding!
On the inside they are working on insulation and…..
Sheetrock!
And Solar lights!
Of coarse this post wouldn’t be complete without a beautiful look at the fall colors across the lake!
Best news yet, they think the whole house will be done in about 6 weeks! YAY!
Awesome!
Our house is coming along great! They finished the outside of our house last week!
Where there isn’t siding their will be a rock wall except for the strip in the middle which is where we will have a deck.
I don’t have an updated photo of the whole front of our house so here is the part by the garage. You can see we have a garage door now too!
We also have the whole upstairs drywalled and we are going to paint this weekend! I am so excited!
Edit: I will post pictures of the inside later!
It’s coming along gorgeously!
It’s so nice! I can’t wait to see it finished and your cool ladder/bun room haha!
Yes! I am SO excited! I am a little nervous about having to pick out paint colors.
Picking paint colours can be fun with the new websites. Find several popular paint brands then go to their websites and they have pages with demo rooms where you select the colour scheme so you can see how it looks.
Roberta: Yes I know! I did that on a website already! I am thinking of going green and grey from the rabbit room to mach my 101Rabbits Logo.
I am kind of disappointed! They didn’t end up finishing the walls so we could paint so that got put off until next weekend. I am SO disappointed! I can’t wait to move in so the rabbits can get out of a cage and be free range in my room again!
Another update! Woot! You guys are probably sick of this by now! Haha.
My Dad and my Uncle (he builds houses and stuff so we hired him) started on the decks a few days ago. One is by the living room/dining room (far left) and the other one is my Mom and Dads private deck from their bed room (right)!
Yesterday my dad finished the main deck except for the steps/landing/ramp which we wont do until later. Don’t have a whole picture of the deck but here he is finishing it last night! He worked late! I helped him screw on quite a few boards but it hurt my knees and hands a lot…. I shouldn’t be getting old this soon!
They finished putting up the wood on the ceiling! Not sure when they will put up the ones on the wall though!
Here is how the drywall looks! All they have to do is prime the walls and we will be ready to paint! This is the dining room.
Wow! That is just too cool! I’ve always wanted a deck.
Wow Mocha! I’m a big fan of 101Rabbits, and you’re one of the people who have helped me a lot in getting back in my feet in bunhood. I’m very excited, my bun comes in 4 weeks! Hehe!
But anyway. I’ve been following about your house building, and your rabbit room will be so awesome! You and your buns are very lucky! Good luck with everything, the house will be fantastic, I’m jealous x
Hi, Mocha! I just caught up on your pix, and the house is looking wonderful!
My parent’s got one of those solar sky lights installed in this house. You can’t read by it, but it gives a nice, soft illumination. (Even during hurricane season if the power goes out, you can see by it.)
Is any of the wood cedar? I always was fascinated by closets and storage areas made of cedar, since it keeps so well and smells lovely.
RabbitPam: I sure hope we don’t get any hurricanes here! LOL! Although we do have awful thunder storms in the summer and have power outages very often. The wood is pine. My mom is allergic to the smell of ceder so that would not be good!
I FINALLY have another update on the bunnies! YAY!
They are holding up pretty well. They barely EVER get to go outside of their pen so they are pretty upset about that. Its to cold for them to go outside any more (low 40F to below freezing! Burrrrr!) and they are not allowed any where else in the house. I actually think it upsets me more then them. I have been changing their setups to keep it interesting and exciting.
Here is their current setup!
It is a 2×3 condo with a 2×2 tower and a 10×4 pen but it is 5 foot wide on the left.
Here is a closer view of the 2×2 tower. It is 4 grids tall.
The top opens for easy cleaning and bunny snuggles. It doesn’t normally bend in that much when I open the door but I have about 10lbs of hay and a ceramic tile on top.
Top level is a 3 grid shelf in a L shape and Mocha.
Bottom shelf is 2 grids but the towels are kind of falling off. I need some binder clips to keep them on but I haven’t got any yet. Don’t worry I doubled the towels up so their paws don’t sink in the holes.
They enter through this 1 grid hole. I put the kabob there for now but I normally have it on the xpen. It helps a lot with them chewing the pen!
And Lulu!
Good news is that Mocha is getting more friendly! He used to only be “himself” around me. He would get very scared and aggressive towards anyone else. But now since my grandparents go down there almost once a day they go RUNNING towards the pen! And the best part is…………………………wait for it………………………………………..wait for it……………………………………………………………… ….He us finally letting people pet him! Not just me but my grandma here! This is the first time in 3 years he doesn’t imedetly run away when he sees your hand! I am so proud of my little man! on the down side, my mom think he is getting fatter, which very well could be true since he just lays around all day. Sigh…. I just have to remember, its only a few more weeks and they will be free ranging in their own room!
Sorry for such a long post
Today the stone people came and started putting up the stone on our house! It looks great! it isn’t really “real” stone either. But, shhh, don’t tell anyone that! Hahaha
Another good update is that they finished priming the walls and they are ready to paint! So that is what we are doing next weekend.
Wow, that rock looks beautiful! I’m jealous! Can we move in with you?
I love that stone look.
I want a Mocha-area-rug like you have. LOL He looks so comfy there. It is very good news about the petting. My folks are much more tolerated by Sammy than I thought they would be also, so maybe it’s a grandparent thing that bunnies like. If Sammy would just climb levels, a condo that high would be so much easier for my mother’s back. Not having to stoop over makes it easier to pet bunnies.
OMG, Mocha! It is looking sooooo good! I’m so excited and happy for you — not gonna lie though, watching this thread has made me wanna build a house too! It’s soooo freaking exciting! That rock is gorgeous! (Your secret is safe with us! )
And I wouldn’t worry about the bun buns! I feel like we ALL worry a lot more than our buns do. You’re obviously giving them a good variety of switching around the cage to keep them happy and it’s only a few more weeks!
I’m so happy for your little Mocha! I know how exciting it is when your bun that HATES people reaching, touching, anything, around him finally begins to come out and love everything and everyone! Same thing just happened to my little girl when we got her spayed and it’s so touching to see them finally enjoying the love you have to offer!
Here they are working on the stone on the lake side (ignore the workers :p)
Close up of stone
The wood on the living room walls will be done tonight.
We still need the logs up on the ceiling to cover up the seems. The fire place looks sort of strange because of the two logs it is eventually going to be a mantle.
The bunny room! Ready to paint this weekend!
Other end of the bunny room!
I’m so jealous! I want a bunny room!!!
I painted part of the bunny room today! The colors are grey and green and only painted the grey because I didn’t buy the green yet! I love it! Its so pretty!
in this picture is hard to tell that its grey but if you look at the ceiling which is white you can tell.
You can tell it better in this picture. (those greens are not the color I am painting my wall. I just got a sample and didn’t like it.)
What I drew on the wall for fun! :p
We have painted more walls in different room so I will upload some pictures later. We also have some tile on the floor!
More pics pls!! Just went through whole thread was really interesting seeing it being built! I envy you so much! Beautiful view amazing scenery! I hate living here so loud and so many noisy young chavs running around drunk :'(
Yesterday they finished all of the hardwood flooring in our house! It looks so nice. You can also see the colors of the walls. The lighting isn’t that good on these pictures.
Dining room. We didn’t paint all the way to the ceiling because we are putting some sort of shelf type thing with a rope light going around the room. I am not really sure what it is or what it will look like! LOL
The Great Room!
The fire place will be getting the same stone that is on the outside of the house sometime next week.
The Kitchen. We didn’t paint where the cabinets would go.
Here is the tile in the laundry room. It is also in the hallway outside of the laundry room and in the bathroom.
Master bedroom. (Really bad picture, sorry. I was trying to work fast because the camera was dying.
The master room walk in closet.
So thats it for now. I am off to go do school. “Sigh”
Good golly is the place beautiful!
Thursday night was the first night the cats and my Mom and I slept in the house. It was also the first time all four of our cats were together in one space in awhile (long story short, Clara and Emmett “seen the the picture below” moved up north early in the summer and when Cloud and Shadow came up after our old house sold there were some territorial issues that led to fights between them)
Let me just say, I barely slept! Meowing, hissing, growling! Example: Cloud was sleeping under my blanket when Emmett came over by me to snuggle, didn’t know could was under the blanket and stepped on her head Lots of growling! No fights though so that’s good!
Bad news is we think Clara (The calico sleeping on the bed) might be sick. Ever since we moved them into the house she hasn’t eaten much and my Mom said she saw her jump into the litter box and not go to the bathroom. I was able to get her to eat less then a 1/8 cup of dry food by playing her favorite game of throwing her food and she chases it today, but the last piece she ate she spit out and wouldn’t eat anymore. She also feels very light. We hope we wont have to take her to the emergency vet but we think we will have to make an appointment for Monday.
I need to update you guys on the hardwood floors and my room but I am sick today and don’t feel like taking pictures.
Oops! Forgot to say that the cats are fine together now and their is no growling!
Random thought: Its funny how the gas guy knows me as “The Bunny Girl”. Haha!
Here is my room! How do you like the paint colors? They are supposed to go with my 101rabbits logo! They also finished the floor by sanding it and staining it! I LOVE the color! It is SO pretty!
Here is a view of the living room to show you the floor again!
That floor is GORGEOUS! And I love the colors in your room! It’s coming along so wonderfully!!
The place is amazing!!! How is Clara? Have you thought she maybe has a UTI? Or a Kidney Stone? Or a inflammation problem? I really hope she gets better!
She ate a little bit of her canned food once she was outside so that’s good! She also has TONS of energy. She doesn’t seems sick so I wonder if she was just stressed. Our other cat Emmett had a URI and crystals earlier this year and is now on special food. I will keep you updated though! They worked on the stone around the fireplace and should be finished in the next few days.
Love the floor! Your room looks great too!
Make sure you keep an eye on weather Clara goes to the bathroom or not, although with 4 cats that would of course be difficult to keep track of. If she starts vomiting, take her to the vet ASAP. The symptoms sound similar to what our cat did when she got sick, but she stopped pooping and couldn’t keep anything down. It ended up being a blockage and required E-surgery. She might just be stressed, like you said *healing vibes*

Next week they will be working on finishing the basement!
Wow, everything is coming along so nicely, Mocha! It’s absolutely gorgeous and keeps getting better the more you update!
