My little boy Milo has some points on his teeth and is recommended for an occlusal adjustment. I know it’s routine for a lot of bunnies, but anesthesia makes me nervous. I agreed to try some preventative measures before going ahead with the procedure. Has anyone had any luck with corrected bunny teeth through diet, etc?? I need all the advice I can get!! Thank you

How developed are the points on his teeth? At one time the vet said Luna was starting to get points on two of her teeth, and if they developed more then they would need to be ground down, but proper diet and encouraging her to chew toys more got it to correct itself.

The only thing that will considerably help his teeth through his diet is the eating of lots of hay to wear down the spurs as these use his back teeth and have side to side motion whereas pellets and veggies only have the up down motion.

If they are bad, however, more than just a tiny point, then they will need to sort them out under anesthesia unfortunately. Hope this helped a bit!
