Well most members on BB have other pets. And I don’t know about you but I always love seeing everybody’s adorable pets! So here is a thread dedicated to other pets.
Paris enjoying the rain yesterday:
“Why is there stuff coming out of the sky?!” ^
Tilly also playing in the rain:
But she was happy to come in.
It only lets me post 8 photos at a time for some reason so I guess I’ll be posting a lot of comments.
Snickers. ^
^Not the best photo of Zero, but you get the idea. (BTW he is chewing on a stick in the photo)
^Spring
^ Nanny the rooster
Moxie, I love that you have a rooster
Your pets are lovely, Moxie! Now the puppies really look like Rottweiler/GS mixes!
Snickers has the loveliest face!
Oh boy! There’s Meeshka the husky:
Zeus the ‘keet (technically my parents’ bird):
And coming soon in July…. Schubert!
Needless to say, Meeshka and Meki have no idea each other exist, but I’m hoping Meki will at least tolerate Schubert since she and Zeus like to sniff each other from time to time!
OMG Moxie! I was literally thinking about doing this exact thread yesterday! Haha!
I never miss a chance to show off my girls!
This is Keira my elderbull – she is 8 years old in October, which is amazing as due to some really nasty hip issues I was told she would barely make 5. Still powering on, although definitely slowing down now. Pictures by me.
And the love of my life, my heart dog – Phoenix aka Phi, my cheeky girl, part dog part cat. Model material (hence the photos by professional photographers).
I posted a bunch in my welcome thread, but here are a few more candids off of my phone (all of my DSLR photos are on my other computer and still on the camera )
We’ll start off with puppy Maximus
and smoothly move into moregrownup Maximus
From there we will slide into some Mara pictures (she is very unphotogenic…as are my horses I’m sorry but they like to channel ‘derp’)
Now on to the horses! This is Sonny, my main guy, who is out on an injury.
he’s a bit of a derp
This is Lilly, my rescue mare (who thanks to a recent medical development of my mother’s is no longer just in training with me but is ‘mine’ She, also, is a complete derp. GORGEOUS in real life [super thick and wide and just ahhhh], but horrid in pictures…this was also before we bought her so she was pretty skinny and awkward looking. Once she got weight on her she looked pretty swell. She was around 900# here and she’s pushing 1100/1200# now, easily (she was 700# when she came into the rescue…they managed to put 200# on her WHILE she was nursing)
And last but not least, here is my other gelding, Kai (he is mine until I have him broke and my little sister grows into him/my main gelding gets sound again …and in the first picture there is someone crouched down holding onto the baby …that horse is also about as bomb proof as they come…Just has issues steering.)
Ooooohhhh So cute!!! I don’t have any pets asides Chester, but I can live vicariously through you guys
I love all the pet photos. I will have to try to get some new ones of my other pets and post them.
Moxie does your rooster crow a lot? I worry that if I have a rooster it will make a lot of noise.
Sindriona— Since he’s still young he hasn’t started crowing yet. We have other hens and roosters but he’s the most photogenic.
Awwwww, I love seeing all the different pet photos!
Here’s my Loki – he’s a rescue mutt <3
And here are Jack, Zero, and Dr. Finklestein (ake Fink)
Zero is the only one who is chill enough to allow a photo that isn’t blurry, lol

Guinea pigs! I love them! And how cool is that that we both have a pet named Zero?

It’s a good name! And I love my piggies…I’d always wanted them when I was younger, but my mom would never let me have any, lol. So my husband bought me that trio from a pitiful pet store a few years ago. He was in there looking for rabbit food, and they were stuck in this tiny cage all together and he bought them all, hahaha. They are so much fun, and I love their little noises!
They used to be so little….
Sometimes we have group floor time, lol
BunsandDolls, I love your little guinea pigs! I had one as a kid that toured the country with us in an RV…we had a little pen he would hang out outside in while my dad BBQed…He was the best and lived to be 10 I think? He was the guinea pig that just kept going for ever The one we have now is a sweet little piggy, but still doesn’t have anything on Brownie!

That sounds so fun! My little guys will be 3 years old this year, so hopefully I still have a while with them…10 years is a long time! He was a super-piggy!

He definitely was a super piggy!
OMG I would die if my husband went to the store and game home with piggies!!!! Can someone please tell him that is the true way to a woman’s heart?!
We just have the buns right now, but I WILL have a dog within a year!
I have a 3 year old sheltie/heeler/border collie mix named Carson and an almost 1 year old border collie/spaniel mix named Aurora, or Rory as everyone calls her.
Carson insisted on climbing the 15ft wall of hay to bring me his ball… he is a little obsessed I’ll admit.
Rory was a rescue. Her whole litter was dumped on the side of a road when they were 7-8 weeks old. She was the only one that could be caught.
This is my quarter horse mare Alena, she is around 9 years old. This was her pretty winter coat.
This is what she looks like most days now that is really hot. The flies are awful in Georgia.
This is my daughter’s hamster Sweetie.
One of my hamsters was named Steve.
This is one of the best threads ever Moxie!!! I ‘loved’ seeing and meeting everyone’s ‘others’ – thank you everyone! And I will be coming back to see more!
AND OMG MeketatenBun!!! You have a BUDGIE! That is soooooo coooooool! BIG happy smile face!
PS – Sorry everyone, but my photo’s always seem to be the same – cause that’s all the do… *SIGH*! Lol! Sam is in bed with Ted, and that’s George and Frank with Henry on the dog bed….. Lol!
I love all these pictures! Beautiful dogs and horses and piggies and birds and the little hamster=)
Here’s Yohio and Effi on the bed.
And because wewent strawberry-picking yeaterday, here’s a pic of strawberries. Technically not a pet picture, but at least it is bunny food =)
BEST pic’s ever bam!!! THANK YOU! Love love love them!
AH— Ha ha well I love seeing other people’s pets too, so I just though I would make a thread about it.
I’m reviving this thread now because I’m so proud of my dog who took her first boat-ride last week =) It was a trial-run in a small motor-boat, but she did great.
So cute in her life jacket!!!
what a brave puppy!
Here’s my sister’s cockatiel Kury feeling left out, and our dog Remus being confused
Naaw Diamond! Of course the whole family must dine together =)
Edit: Adding a pic of doggie’s new passport. In a week she can sail to Denmark, because by the the rabies vaccine has kicked in.
Diamond, Remus is so well-behaved!!! Wow is he that good with Lily?
Dog passports?! I’ve heard it all!
Loving all of the pet pictures!!
LLH: Remus and Lily dont’ really interact. She lives in my room where he generally doesn’t go, but when he does he reacts with the same sort of passive confusion that this small animal lives in his house and is given attention, poor guy
Remus seems like a pretty good dog. I’m still laughing at that poor birdie who doesn’t understand why no one set a place at the table for her!!!!
Ah she was so pretty!
I love the pics! The doggie passport is cute.
Oh yay, a thread that I have a little too much to contribute to! I apologize in advance for having tons of animals and being unable to shut up about them.
These are my doggies, a 12-year-old Parson Russell male Pepe and a Small Münsterlander female Dara. They live at my parents’ house, which I’ve moved out of a year or so ago. I’ve grown up with them, and Dara in particular is the love of my life (pet-wise, of course). She’s the best dog anyone could ever ask for, scarily intelligent yet unfailingly good-natured. She learns tricks after one repetition, and remembers them years later with no practice. She has proven she understands some simple phrases people say (“let’s go to the summer house” or “we’re going hunting”, for instance), and she somehow has a grasp on the concept of days of the week. She always starts spending time near my dad’s suitcase on Thursdays, because my dad usually takes the dogs to our summer house on Thursday or Friday… etc. She’s an amazing dog.
Pepe is a bit of an idiot. For a terrier, he’s a massive wuss, because he was abused by his previous owners before coming to us at nine months old. He’s completely devoted to my mom, and has trouble eating and being calm when she’s not around. He’s not really trained to do any tricks, because he just.. doesn’t learn. I spent hours on end for days on end one summer trying to teach him to lie down, and he just never understood what I was getting at. He is unfailingly willing to please, however, and he will try his best to do whatever someone important to him asks him to do, even if he doesn’t understand.
My horse, Peetu. He’s a 13-year-old warmblood gelding we got when he was just a six-year-old baby. We’ve been through a lot together. He’s massive, standing at around 175cm at the withers and weighing close to 900kg. He’s an absolute sweetheart, though, and would never hurt a fly. When he was younger, he had some issues with being led without him “flipping out”, testing his boundaries and not really trusting humans to be the “leader” of the situation – and, unfortunately, he’s big enough where him “flipping out” is a near-death experience for any human closeby. We had stableyard employees refuse to even try to lead him for a few months when we’d just got him, so we essentially lived at the stables, leading him to and from the pasture etc. It was a nightmare, but thankfully he grew out of it. Now, he’s never spooked by anything. A bomb could blow up next to him and he’d barely fidget. He has a massive ego, but thankfully he has a great personality to go along with it. He still fancies himself a stallion, since he was six when he was gelded and he never really understood the concept.
And, last but not least, in addition to my two bunnies I have five Achatina fulica, or Giant African land snails living in my apartment. They’re slimy, and I hope no one is icked out if I show a few pictures of them? I think they’re absolutely fascinating to watch, and really cute as well. Nobody seems to get me when it comes to my snails, but oh well. I love them anyway! The biggest one is around 13cm shell length – pictured below on my hand is one of the medium-sized ones, with a shell length of around 10cm.
OMG those snails are awesome!
Other than my Bunny boys I have a cat, a dog, two turtles and a fish.
This is Emma, my Tortoiseshell cat, She is 4 years old now, we rescued her when she was only 6 weeks, it was a long road to get her healthy, these days you would never know. She is spoiled rotten , healthy and … a little on the chubby side lol. She rules the house. These pictures aren’t the best but they are SO cute IMO.
Ryli is my 2 year old Shih-poo/ Toy Fox Terrier mix. He was the product of an oops litter between my moms dogs. He is a wonderful little guy.
Nemo and Ollie have Similar stories, I adopted both from a rescue last year, Nemo was kept in a tank with a red earred Slider, he is highly aggressive and picked a fight which resulted in the missing shell. Ollie was neglected and had such bad algae growth it damaged his shell. He had shell rot hidden under it as well. We are still treating his shell rot. Both boys are 7 years old and only 4 inches. Unfortunately I can’t get a picture of Ollie to upload.
Nemo
Aw Diamond is so cute by the tree.
Snails!!! So cool!
Aww everybody’s pets are as adorable as always.
Snails, that is so cool! I have kinda wanted a pet snail, and have considered getting an fish tank and having a couple Garden snails.
I’ll have to post some photos tomorrow.
Loving this thread and seeing all the other animal loves in your lives!
An update for you Moxie…. Frank laying on Henry AGAIN last night in bed, lol!
And Sam and Ted both asleep on their backs – silly doggy and Teddy, ha ha ha!
PS – And yes that is Blair’s Wiggle’s blanket in Sam’s bed…. don’t anyone tell Blair! Lol!
Andi I couldn’t see the pics for some reason.
