Hey guys! I have not been on BB in quite some time but I feel like I get along with my bunny peeps better than anyone. I stopped going on Facebook as much so if you are my friend on there and have been trying to get a hold of me I won’t likely respond. (Plus I get so many messages on there it sometimes is overwhelming). I am going to try my hardest to be consistent on this site. I have been dealing with a lot in my life but all the bunnies here are fine.
I don’t know if I have updated on all my bunnies but I still have Marley, Rascal and Valentine. In addition to them I also have Olivia and Alice whom I rescued from my local shelter. Alice and her sister Aurora were supposed to only be fosters but I failed at that. Aurora passed away a few months ago, unfortunately. It shattered my soul. She was such a young bunny and didn’t deserve to die. She was so sweet and acted like nothing ever happened to her. She was so trusting even though she was at a crappy shelter with only 3 legs and a stump. She had an abscess growing on her shoulder where her leg had been cut or broken off. We got the rest of her leg amputated and the abscess removed but I noticed things were not right so I took her back to the vet and he was cleaning it up but she went into cardiac arrest and passed away. Her sister mourned for her for a few days but ultimately has been fine and happy.
Today I am going to start attempting to bond all 5 bunnies so I have more space in my room for myself! lol I am getting a new bed soon so I would love to have a lot of space for it. =P
As a lot of you know Rascal has never liked Marley but I am hoping with adding the two girls in with them it will work out better. If not I might just try to bond Alice with Marley and Olivia with Rascal and Valentine.
A couple months ago I noticed something extremely odd about my dog, Lucy. She had been throwing up and she was outside acting abnormally. So I went outside and sat on the ground with her and was petting her and talking to her but she went away from me which is not normal for her. Something told me to feel her chest so I did and I have never felt a heart beat pound so hard or fast in my life! At that point I was freaking out. So I rushed her to the E-Vet and it turns out (after a bunch of tests and seeing a cardiologist) she has a heart defect and has to be on heart meds the rest of her life and her life is cut short but hopefully she beats the odds and makes it until she is old and grey. So I am always worried about Lucy now, but she is doing much better.
Anyway, this is a loooong post. I will keep you all updated on bonding the bunnies. =)
