I gave Cotton some chammomile last nite.  He slept good and was very relaxed today.  I was wondering why he was sleeping so much today then I remembered oh yeah

Gosh I am watching that armageddon stuff on history channel .   All doom and gloom.  No wonder I feel so bad on top of being sick bored and tired.

Let me find something more uplifting.   All that doom and gloom the worst case scenarios those people come up with ..  Last nite was Nostradomas.   Mayans and some blue star.  OH this could happen or that could happen.    Yeah uh huh all these guesses. Nothing but guesses.  Blah bleckh

Let me go change the channel.

Was it fresh or dried chamomile?

I give my buns Oxbow Botanical hay as a “treat”. It has chamomile in it, but not enough to effect their sleep.
I wonder if chamomile would be a good way to calm down a stressed bun?

Last night I saw a few episodes of “Entourage”. No doom & gloom there- just goofy boys!

I’ve read in afew places that you can make chamomile tea for them, not sweetened or hot, but that they like the flavour and it’s safe…Anyone else read that?

it was dried from a package.   I usually throw some in a tea when i am sick or having hard time sleeping.   Ruby ate hers too.

I know that it helps to chill my two out. I buy it in the dry form for easy storage and throw in a handful in their hay.

Really?? 0_0 Oh man that’s good news! Does it have to be loose chamomile or can it be a name brand like Celestial Seasonings?

Mimz, I think you can use the “tea” form – it is just not in the “whole” form and your bunny may or may not eat it. Sprinkle a bit on the hay and find out. I know that Celestial Seasonings uses organic (or at least they used to). They are a Boulder based (Colorado) company and I recall that when I visited there they mentioned something about it. However you might just want to check out their web site to be sure. But given that humans consume it, it’s probably a safe bet it is A-O.K. for your bunnies.

Oh wow this is good to know! So…any chamomile is safe? As long as it’s un-sweetened.
