Here is a good article on rabbit vision and “Scanning” which is common in red eyed rabbits.

I believe that they can have more difficulty than the average rabbit when trying to see. All of the red eyed rabbits that I have ever worked with do the “scanning” where they move their heads back and forth to see better. I currently have one red eyed lop, and while she seems to see just fine, she does scan when she is nervous or afraid of something, in her case it almost seems like she is spacing out. None of my other bunnies do this (other than my blind one) which is why it seems to me that my red-eyed bun does have more difficulty seeing.
