Laith was so cute. As a baby he had a big curl of his little mane like a curl of the 50’s or something looked so cute. I still think about him. HE left us Feb 2008.

HE was a shy little charactor.  Cotton accepted him.  I remember one night I put his cage on my dresser.  When I got up the next morning he has sprayed the mirror. He was 7 months old when he saw himself and did his first spray.  That was cute.

He and Cotton were let loose in my bedroom at night when I slept. They would run across me and dig in my hair every 2 hours. Pee on the bed and Laith would spray the closet doors.  He then got  neutered.

After his spay I had him on the couch and would pet him til he zonked out. Then he would come around again and I would pet him some more. HE was so sweet. I really loved that little fellow.

He was a broken black lionhead with his little black mustache. HE mane really bloomed after he really blew his coat. Must have shed for 2 months.  I would brush him so much he would back his behind up to the couch cushion.  HE was so sweet him.

Laith I will never forget you. You were a wonderful first bun. I look forward to the day I get to see you again. In all your glorious mane and good health.

You know Laith, Cotton missed you too.  He was looking for  you and sad for a few days. He came to me a lot for pettings.  And I would seek him out for same I didn’t want him to be depressed. He will see you again too Laith.  Laith I love you.

No more hunched up in your cage in pain. Your hernea to bother you no more. I am so sorry Laith. I felt it was best for you not to feel the pain anymore and risk your intestines knotting up. That would have been a horrible way to go.  I made it as easy as possible for you to go peacefully.  It really hurt to make that decision.  Your life was cut short. You were only 1 year old when your time came. I didn’t want to see you suffer anymore. I have tears in my eyes as I think about it.

I remember the cute things you did. You were humping a towel and when you realized I saw you, you stopped like you were embarrassed.     Oh gosh you were so cute. And the tooth purrs you were full of tooth purrs.   You loved to sit stop the couch cushion so I could pet you.   Then when  you were done you would climb down on me and look at the floor as if you were asking my permission to go.  I would put you on the floor and you would go back to your cage. One day you weren’t able to jump up there.  After that I would put you directly into your cage when you were done with me petting you.  You seemed to like to be in there more and more.  I suppose from the pain you were in and hid from me so well til you couldn’t anymore.

Laith may your days be filled with bunny friends sun

Thank you for posting this BT, I was actually going to ask you awhile ago if you would be putting up a memorial to Laith.

He really was a beautiful and oh so special bun. I am sorry he had to leave you so soon. It seems God always takes the good ones first, doesn’t He?

How did you pronounce his name, btw? I always meant to ask.

Binky free, Laith! You are still missed and always will be. But we know we will see you again!

OH he was so adorable.      Laith is like wraith      or maybe layth    it means lion in arabic.

That brought back to mind that Cotton actually did have a bun for a friend.  AFter the spay though he gave Laith a hard time so I would let them out seperately.

It took a while for me to post it.    I just couldn’t do it for a while.  These things take time for me.  A pass of time b4 I can do it.  Guess time is a healing of sorts.

He didn’t like to go outside. When he saw a squirrel or a car he would flatten himself to the ground.  After that I quit taking him outside.  He was so obviously uncomfortable with it.

              OH my Laith song.

Here comes Laith the happy bun        Hopping throught the living room        Hippity Hoppity Laith is on his way.

Oh that is a cool name! ^_^ very fitting! I love lions. My favorites are Aslan from Chronicles of Narnia and Cowardly Lion from Wizard of Oz. I have toy bunnies and lions all over my house. ^_^

I know how hard it is when we lose someone we love and then it takes forever to talk about it or just to say goodbye even. It’s almost a year now since losing two of my oldest pets (a dog who had to be put down and a cat who didn’t make it that far) and I don’t think I’ve really said goodbye properly to them yet.

I don’t know how I’d cope with losing one of the buns. I just don’t think about it. When the time comes, hopefully long days from now, I’ll deal with it then.
Kinda like Scarlet O’Hara…”I’ll think about that tomorrow!” ^_^

Your Laith was very beautiful. Even though I think he passed almost right after I joined BB.com, he impacted my life in the stories you tell of him. I’m glad we have this place to tell those stories.

(sends you a great big hug)

It was hard for a while.   I kept seeing him in my mind when he was dead.  Finally I don’t see that image anymore when I think of him.  After it went away I am able to talk about him.

gosh he was so cute.  I love that picture of his little curl of hair him sitting on the couch.  And all stretched out too. HE was something else.

I remembered something else about my little Laith.    When he thought I was going to take him somewhere he would hide his head behind his litterbox and move it if he had to.   The rest of his body sticking out.

The I can’t see you so you can’t see me teheeee.   Of course I stopped taking him  out after that and flattening himself to the ground.
