I posted this in ‘The Lounge’ … oops wrong forum group.  So I have put up here as more appropriate.  Hope someone can help me out.

I would so much love to participate in volunteer work in a bunny rescue, however here in Perth we do not have these facilities.  If we did, I would be there most weekends. We have dog/cat refugee homes, which I have previously worked in, but its very dirty and hard work.

To assist somehow, I would like to donate some money to one of the local bunny rescues.  Can anyone assist me in how I can go about this …  maybe by electronic funds transfer?

        Dawn  xx

          Dawn,

Do you know about Boing online boingonline.com/?

They might be able to direct you to someone local in Australia.  Barring that, most rescue’s web sites have PayPal donations build right into them.  Do Australian credit cards work with PayPal?

The Bunny Bunch that I work with uses Paypal for donations (you can see how they set it up at http://www.bunnybunch.org) as well as the Foundation for the Protection of Companion animals (www.protectingtheanimals.org)…thats where my "SomeBUNNY to Love" bunnies are from I think Paypal is a good route to use! And of course, we always appreciate donations but I love for ANY bunny rescue ANY where to get donations!  If there is a certain cause or certain thing you want your money donated to go to, I’m sure we can help direct you to which rescue is the best for that type of thing too….did you have any particular rescues in mind? The Bunny Bunch has connections to a lot of different rescues all over so I could ask some of the other volunteers if you are interested in a certain area/group!

I have heard of Boing Online and have visited their website on several occasions. I have posted to them, but I did not get a reply to my emails or even an acknowledgement. So I guess, in a way I was a bit peeved off! The reason for my posting here.

Look, I will look again at Boing Online. I have no idea where I would like my money to go, as long as it used wisely for the bunnies or piggies because I am a lover of both. I know of PayPal, but unfortunately I do not have a credit card.

                I will let you know.

                Thanks Again.

Has anyone bought bunny items from the shopping online website cafeexpress.com. Thought this might be an option as funds raised go to the bunny rescues.

                    Hi!

I think I saw someone else mention this posting in Hedi’s discussion about how to raise $$ for getting her shelter bunnies fixed – I can’t seem to find the site…at least I don’t think I’m at the right one if I go to cafeexpress.com – could you send the full link? I’m curious about it! Thanks!

SaveABunny and The Rabbit Haven both have cafe press sites.  SaveABunny has some really neat artists that do the designes for their shirts and such, but cafe press is very expensive.  Without a credit card, I don’t think that cafe press will work either, unless you can order and then send them a check.

I am almost positive that you can now use your checking account via paypal. If for whatever reason, you go to a rabbit rescue website and it defaults to the paypal credit only, then you should be able to go through paypal, enter the rescue groups name, and you can pay the way you want that way.

If you decide on something that more local, then of course you could just write a check. (I know…that’s obvious)

Like Osprey said, SaveABunny has some interesting stuff.   I love the "7 deadly sins" line.  Comical Artwork!    http://www.cafepress.com/saveabunny/2341410     This just goes to the greeting cards but they sell t-shirts, totes too, but the greeting cards were easier to see.

I’ll have to check out Rabbit Haven’s stuff.  Now, I’m curious.
