Okay. FINALLY the lounge is working again and to start it off.  How was your weekend?   And for the U.S. folks - what are you doing this memorial day?

Last year my husband and I attended a memorial day ceremony in one of the area military graveyards.  This year, we kept off the roads, and we have just been updating the site.  Which is why the lounge is now finally working. This evening we'll be having a BBQ with our neighbors.

The update looks great, thanks for doing it BB!

We went to Tahoe this weekend with some friends.  A little hiking, a little swimming, a bottle of wine or two.  Good deal all around!

We grilled today- hamburgers, hot dogs (which I did not eat), veggie kabobs, and very large portabello mushrooms. It was so very good eating! I also ended up having several cocktails- I'm so happy it's warm in Chicago.

There's a really good memorial at Grant Park in Chicago right now- I'm sure it went down tonight.. not too sure.. But there are over 3000 pairs of boots- of all of the military personel that have died in the Iraq war. It was very moving and very good. I've been thinking about it all weekend (I saw it on Thur).

I had an out-of-town gig up near LaCrosse Wisconsin.  Nice smallish new faire, decent attendance of generally nice people with good sales and tips.

Sounds like everyone had a good time.
Gravehearted - we also went to see the Pirates, but I really didn't like this one. No new cool creative beings and alot of snoozing dialogue and goofy cliche comments in comparison to the other ones. Maybe a different writer?, or corporate got too much script control. And Johnny's character was diminished. So there's my Ebert and Binky's report.

Osprey - TAHOE. I haven't been to Tahoe in years! We'd usually go there in the winter to skiboard (I ski, my husband snowboards) I miss it so much, so beautiful. I am working on getting my arse in gear, so I can get myself strong enough to ski. Before I made the mistake of going back before i was ready (resulted in knee injuries/surgeries)
