When we got Izzy, we knew we were going to have to get a bigger place for the buns to live. Does anyone know a good place to get a cage/ hutch? Like one of the really big ones? I don’t know if buns like the tall ones, but we are definately going to need something big enough for the both of them. Thanks!

Have you had a chance to check out the “Cool Habitats” section.  Great options there and many times cheaper than the store bought versions.

Otherwise, if you really need more of a cage type thing leithpetwerks.com has larger cage options – two story type condos that can work.  If you get an xpen as well, you can attach it which will offer even more space.

There was also a discussion not too long ago regarding this too where people were showing off their habitats…I’ll try and find it

I’m a big fan of xpens! They provide lots of room and can be configured to the space you have available.

do an xpen if possible! or if you have time and are good at building things, a condo.

If you are looking for a ready made solution, the Dr’s Foster & Smith website has some decent cages/hutches.  If I recall correctly from the research I did when I was home shopping for my bunny, the “Tubbies Small Pet Cages” had the largest size options for cages (up  to 45″ x 23″ x 22″ high for the jumbo size).  There are also some hutches, but they were out of my price range so I didn’t do a lot of research on them.

One day when I live in a real house instead of an apartment I’ll build my bun one of those fancy condos, but for now she’s quite happy in her cage!

I just realized that you’re looking for something big enough for 2 bunnies, and I’m not sure if they have anything like that, but just in case I’ll leave it up.

Making your own is the best idea, you can do an xpen/condo/cage combo, anything you want; Make it work for your rabbits and for your home…And usually -save money!!

heya, ive also been looking at puppy pens & wondering if a bunny could jump 30″? millies only a mini lop, so she probably couldnt jump that high, but im wondering if a bigger breed could as in the future i may consider getting her a friend

generally, the smaller the breed, the higher they can jump since they don’t have as much weight. i would go for the 36 inch high at least.

I found a really neat big cage at pet supermarket. I can’t remember exactly how much  80 or 90.00   Is big and square and has an upper level and wheels is low to the floor. I like that cage.  It is too big for my living room.  Otherwise I would have gotten it myself for Cotton.
