I love my Felony more than anything, but he’s molting and I have allergies… Lionhead fur is not my friend!

        Achoo!

haha okay this might sound weird but I have something I do that helps with my allergies during a molt. Smudge (my bun) is an American Fuzzy Lop her hair is long and fluffy. When I feel that “hair in my nose and itchy all over my face/eyes” feeling that starts my allergies acting up I go to the bathroom and run some cool water then cup it in my hands and bring it up to my face and “blow” into it with my nose like making bubbles when you’re swimming and then splash it over my face. It helps because the allergens that rest on the inside of your nose are flushed out by some of the water as you blow into it. Do it a few times and it can really help the sneezing and just the general gross ithciness that comes with allergies. Good Luck!

I wear a facial mask when brushing. This helps me quite a lot.

Awww I feel your pain.  I actually can’t have any long haired animals because it makes my allergies flair like crazy.  And I am not sure what exactly it is about LONG hair because I have two short hair dogs and they shed like mad.  I think it’s something with that soft hair that makes up long fur lol.

When I was a kid I had an angora cat..omg I was always sick.

Oh, yeah, shedding is no fun. I am really allergic to cats, and I have my two buns.. so .. since the fur is so similar– I have the same problems.

Ever take Zyrtec? It works pretty good for the itches and sneezes, and cheaper than claritin.

                Feel better!
