Just wanted to show you a couple pics of Sophie and Apollo’s new NIC condo.

        Lagomorph Manor

There’s a cardboard step between the 2nd and 3rd floors because it was hard for them to get up there. The shelves are pegboard zip-tied to the wire panels underneath them. The base is plywood with stick- on linoleum tiles on top and it has holes drilled in each corner to zip tie the base to the bottom panels. We all LOVE it! They love hanging out and napping on the balcony, and it has a view out the window.

VERY COOL!   If the cardboard doesn’t hold up. I have another suggestion.   Use the cubes to make a ramp and cover it with carpet (unless they chew on it) or something else that they won’t slip on.

I’d love to add this to the cool habitats section.   There aren’t many NIC cubes there with color!  I love the pink.

Just let me know, and I can take the pictures directly from the forum.

Oh cool, of course you can add it. I have more pictures if you want them.
The cardboard is actually really sturdy, but if it gets chewed too much I was thinking I could carpet it, never had a problem with carpet chewing before. I wouldn’t have thought of the ramp idea…I think it might be too steep though, and maybe hard to maneuver around to climb up it because that part of the 2nd floor is only one cube wide. For now the cardboard works good but I’ll remember that.

Sorry I always take so long to reply. bunnies4ever- all together it took about 4-5 hours to finish. The first day I assembled the back and sides and shelves, and the second day I got the pegboard and zip tied it to the shelves, added the top and front, and put the linoleum tiles on the base, drilled the holes in the corners and zip tied it on.
poopy- I got the litter box at WalMart.  Here’s a few more pics:

I so love the pink theme! Perty!! What’s that bright pink straw thing towards the upper back right side in the first two pictures? Have you found any problems with them using that litterbox or do they use it most of the time?

Thanks. Binky, the pink thing is a bird nesting toy, it has coconut fibers and colored popsicle sticks in it. They do use that box; although they use their uncovered one more (you can kind of see it on the right under the second floor in the 2nd pic) It was good for when Apollo used to dig litter out of the box,she could dig all she wants in there and the litter stays in.

Hi, I’m new to this site so sorry if I ask anything over again.  I am in the process if building my bunny Skittles a play condo out of the cubes.  First, I love your cage, you did outstanding.  Doesn’t the peg board hold any smell of urine?  I am working on the floors on the different levels and wanted to do different floors on each level, but how did you attach the flooring to the sides of the cube?  Thanks! Christen and Skittles

Hey Poopy, I put Cassy’s Pen pic in Wiki’s "cage" section to give people an idea about how a cage can be used well, bu t I couldnt figure out how to make the image small like yours.  Help?  (That page really does need work!)

Nitety, I fixed it for you. You can look at the tag on the edit mode so in the future you can just copy and paste it. Thanks for adding the picture!

Sure you can add it poopy.

hi Christen– my bunnies’ litterboxes are on the bottom floor, and they don’t pee on the top two levels.not sure if I understood the second question, but under the peg board there are cube panels attached with connectors and zip ties, and the peg board is zip tied onto the cube panels underneath it. Let me know if that’s not what you meant.
