        Hello All!

Remember when you were a youngster and the toy was never as fun as the box it came in?  Well, I took that information and applied it to my bunnies.  I have bought rattles, balls, dangling toys and everything in between and I have found that Dexter and Simon prefer things I already had- toilet paper rolls, empty tissue boxes, cotton handtowels and their food dishes.  So, I brought home from work an empty printer paper box.  Although you can’t see it in the picture, I cut  “door” in the front and a “sunroof” on the top (through which Dexter is poking out).  In the bottom I put a straw mat for digging and tossed in a few toys (a wicker basket, a towel and a few of the toys they usually ignore).  Both the boys like to enter through the front door, play around then then leap out the roof- very cute!

Its always the simplest things that they like. The same with human babies, they like to rattle pots and pans etc, no need for expensive toys.

Mine enjoy big boxes too.  The boxes that hay comes in work well, as do the paper boxes like the one you used.  I also brought home a Dell computer box for mine that they like, but they also like to pee in it!

                      ^^^lol!

i’m guessing your sunroof will probably get larger as time goes on.  anytime i cut a “door” for Meadow she will always take it upon herself to widen it.

very cute, and such a simple idea.  my husband is always throwing away boxes and i’m always diggin them back out.
