I have a bonded pair of buns (boy and girl)… the other day the bf and I went to visit the new bunnybunch store and rescue center (just to be nosey!). We brought a willow tent for our babies and we had it out for a few hours and they were playing in it but I noticed there was some pushy behaviour from both of them and lots of poopies. We took it off them but now they are peeing on the carpet (and up the wall and up the sofa!) and also in the place where we leave our shoes! Could we have brought home the smell of other bunnies? I’ve cleaned the carpet with laundry detergent and vinegar mix (it cleans pee pee out of anything), but they keep peeing there…. I’ve ended up having to  shut them in their room when we’re not home. Any other ideas how I can stop them doing this…. there’s also some dominant humpy behaviour from both of them! How can I de-smell the willow tent, it cost money therefor they must use it!!!!!

Oh, we also moved their room around recently too but they are not peeing all over the floor in there… still using the litter box.

my bun attacks my hand if he smells another bun on me. ohhh is he jealous and after his buddy came home from neuter he started pooping all over again. it stopped after some time it was cuz he smelled somethign unfamiliar on his the newly neutered bun and since our move cotton won’t stop peeing on the couch driving me nuts I will put another topic up and you may notice I well….

I have washed the cushion covers sprayed with odoban and shout stain remover  to no avail. I jsut came up with covering the offending cushions with plastic bags lets see how this works out. I love him up there with me cuz he sits atop a cushion next to me and demands pets then chews my newspaper then pets again.

I’m betting you and the willow tunnel smelled strongly of the other bunnies there, which is why there was a pee and poop fest all around it!
You might try nature’s miracle – it works really well on carpets and such. Hopefully by tomorrow they’ll calm down.
