Anyone seen any good movies lately – either in the theater or on DVD?

We saw the Pursuit of Happiness.  Bring tissues!!   Such a great story.

I just got Pride & Prejudice on DVD. Though I am partial to Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy, this Darcy was not a fish I’d throw back. What kind are you looking for? The Wedding Date with Dermot Mulrooney and Debra Messing is cute too. Devil Wears Prada. A must have if your boss is a female…. lol… that’s my plans for tomorrow night. Me, Soph, The Devil Wears Prada and chinese take out!

I just saw Little Miss Sunshine. I liked it a lot, it’s hilarious. At the end there’s a really awesome dance scene.

Kelly – I saw that movie.  LOVED IT! Laughed so hard!  And that dance scene.  I just crack up thinking about it.

dmh426 – Thanks for the suggestions!  I haven’t seen any of those yet, so we’ll have options.
I wasn’t looking for anything in particular.  I love all kinds of genres.  As long as it’s written, directed and acted well, I pretty much watch anything from some brainy documentary to some goofy funny movie like Napoleon Dynamite.

I haven’t been watching much movies lately. For some reason I cant seem to sit thru one. There’s a bunch on my computer I have yet to watch. I do want to watch night at the museum tho.

At the moment I prefer tv shows. I just started watching Scrubs and love it!

Casino Royale was worth the price of admission.  Quite different from previous Bond movies, I think I liked it better than most.

Superman Returns was good also, though the actor playing Superman seemed to try a little too hard to evoke Christopher Reeve’s portrayal sometimes.  I liked it a lot better than I thought I would.

The Pink Panther with Steve Martin is funny if you’re in the right mood for it.  Otherwise it’s pretty silly.

For the love of money, don’t waste your money on Freedom Writers. I was sitting there and in the first ten minutes leaned over to my date and said “oh wait, I saw this movie, but it was called DANGEROUS MINDS back in the 90’s” LOL.

I’d second the recommendation of Casino Royale. We also really enjoyed The History Boys.

Eragon was really disappointing – especially if you read the book…
