I thought she said tomorrow, but it’s Thanksgiving, sooo I must have remembered the exact date wrong – Could be today or Friday?  Anyway, just wanted to make sure she gets the message.

I wish Sable happy healthy quick healing!  And peace to Anistark, as many of us know, how this can make you nervous.

Thanks BinkyBunny!  Sable came through surgery with flying colours.  It was a little unnerving when I took him to the vet this morning.  Turned out they expected me to just drop him off and wait for them to call. There was no set time for the surgery, he was just one of several booked for the morning.  That wasn’t explained when I was arranging things but I insisted on waiting with him through the pre-anaesthesia exam and they were okay with that.

He was up and about quickly and started eating right away.  Once I put him in his cage he gulped down a big drink of water and is currently tryinng to find a comfortable position.

Happy Thanksgiving!! (We Canadians had our turkey day in October).

Thanks Gravehearted.  He looks pretty much back to normal this morning, hopping around and wanting out of his cage.  We’re going to try to keep him confined at least until this evening just to make sure.

                Oh that right!!! You’re Canadian!

I am so glad that the surgery is over, and it sounds like things are going along normally.  I remember my first bunny forest going through the same thing.  From the other posts, it sounds like Sable is doing well, but if he continues to feel uncomfortable, ask the vet for pain meds.

I’m happy to say that Sable is back to his normal bouncy self.  He stayed in his cage through Friday and we let him back in his play pen yesterday morning.  We’ve been letting him out since last night and he seems fine.  We waited the extra day because I thought our hardwood floors might cause unnecessary strain on his hind muscles, but no problems this morning!!!

                  Yay!!!
