not me of course… the bun

i mentioned this in another thread and can’t seem to find where… so… if it’s okay i’ll just start a separate one.  my post-surgery bun had been eating not just her cecal droppings but also her waste droppings.  i wondered what was up with that.  the vet said it happens occasionally when their diet changes and it was nothing to be alarmed about.   so there you have it!

i should also mention that the week prior to her surgery i adjusted her diet slightly.  i found out i was giving her too many pellets and was slightly low on the greens, so i tweaked things to be closer to what my vet recommended.  she has returned to her normal habits now and is enjoying her extra veg

Oh good! I”m glad to hear she’s done with eating her poops With so many buns in my house, one bunny will often run across another bunny’s poops, and I always think it is so funny to stop in their tracks and start sniffing the poop intently, Juli sniffs them so close they almost go up her nose! Yesterday, Juli determined a poop was not her and proceeded to lay directly on top of it…..I guess she was trying to contain the poop!

Hmm, these don’t taste like raisins or chocolate chips…. LOL

That’s great she’s back to normal and that is also good to know about the eating her own pellets. I’ll have to file that away just in case it comes up again.
