Hi, is anyone using a Rubbermaid tub as a hay filled Hidey hole for their bun?

Not personally, but I’ve seen it done with great success.
I’m going on the assumption that you mean a bin with holes cut in for bunny access?

Yesterday I cut 3 doors in a small bucket and turned it upside down to make a hidey house. She likes to sit on top of it and clean herself or just look out and see whats going on when she is not sleeping in it. I used an extra part of her pen to make her hey rack and I also put hay in her litter box. The Rubbermaid tub sounds like a good idea too. I might try that in another area of the house of the house for when she is out exercising and exploring.

This is a good idea for a long-lasting house! I had thoughts to do that with one of my tote boxes but I’m scared it won’t be used by my rascals and I won’t have a need for it. That said, with this quarantine going on, I’m not able to get my free boxes when I go shopping so I’m getting pretty close to needing a long term solution for a house! I would use flame heat to soften the cut of the plastic though so they don’t get snagged coming in and out.
