I’m pretty sure my rabbit is secretly part dog basically because if I start using my baby voice to talk to her (make my voice high pitched and upbeat) she will get excited and run back and forth and binky or flick her head haha I love getting her to do it. She also is so excited that she doesn’t know when or how long to give kisses for before running around again. She wants to lick me but she can’t contain it so she runs around and comes back and licks me for a split second then hops off again. If she’s far away from me and I baby talk to herwhile she’s laying down, she will just start licking the floor in front of her. I guess as a way to give affection to something? Can anyone relate to these things?

There seems to be some evidence that dogs prefer “baby talk” to “normal” talk http://www.bbc.com/news/amp/uk-43315466 It seems reasonable that rabbits could react in the same way. Both my dog and my bun comes running when I talk baby talk, probably because they have learned that I’m talking to them (and treats may be offered).

It seems your bun loves you. Licking objects in front of them, like a pillow or furniture or your clothes etc is a common thing for buns to do when you pet them. Some will progress to licking the skin of their humans, but some buns will stick to licking objects in the environment. It’s very sweet ❤

No idea if she likes it but that’s what she gets.

And not sure why, but I usually talk to Elara in French and my cat in English.

@bam oh she loves licking my skin as well. she likes to lick my nose until I can’t handle the tickle anymore hahaha

And interesting answers thanks everyone Rabbits are lovely. I’m sure once I get more rabbits, all their different personalities will come out and some won’t be as loving as the one I have now haha
