Hi guys. So my bun has been castrated a couple of weeks ago. He has always been a nugget dropper but since he had his op it is out of control. He sits on the sofa with us and drops about ten poops at a time! He has also started to wee on the sofa as well but uses the toilet when he is away in his pen. In getting annoyed a bit now because we read up that the weeing and nugget dropping would calm down. He was castrated nearly 2 weeks ago. He seems to nugget drop more when hes close to humans. Can somebody please advise me?

I would say give it another week or two. He’s still going through a hormone surge at the moment.

If he is only marking when he is away from his box, his box may just be too far away (or too much effort to go all the way back to the box). Couches and beds also smell very strongly of humans, so some buns are prone to marking on them.

Sometimes it can help to restrict the space a bit so using their box is reinforced. Also adding an extra box close to the area where he’s making might help.

And yes, should calm down with more time post-neuter.
