I’ve had my bunny for 3 years and she’s always stuffy! What can I do?

Hello everyone. First time post here

I’ve had my beautiful Delilah for 3 years now. When I first got her the girl who gave her to me said “she’s always stuffy, always sneezing but don’t worry!”
Well, typical me I worried lol. I rushed her to the vet (she also had ear mites badly!) and they put her on meds. Fast forward three years later (now ear mite free) but she’s still all stuffed up! She eats grade-A vet recommended food, has tons of Timmy hay, clean water and I change her bedding every other day. She’s moved twice with me, but her congestion and sneezing doesn’t let up! We have no other animals in the house. I wipe her nose with tissues daily. I’m just wondering if this is common? If so is their anything I can do to combat her stuffiness?! She was just at the vet and had a clear bill of health. Otherwise she’s a very happy, loving, social bunny. She loves my husband and I very much, and her stuffed animals lol. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

Oh I should mention she’s a tri-Holland lop! she’s also spayed.

My lop also had the stuffies for years, it actually ended up being very bad inner ear infections (since lops are prone to them) so she had a total ear canal ablation which is removing and closing up the inner and outer ear canals. This then allowed her to chew correctly which led to no more molar spurs so no more loosing saliva out of her mouth.

Buns can also have pasturella( many get it from mom) and it’s very hard to get rid of but it does cause stuffy/wet nose.

Hi Meghan! Pasteurella was the first thing I thought of. The second thing I thought of was an allergy. I wonder if she might be allergic to Timothy Hay for example.

The inner ear infection as a possible cause is very interesting. I would never have thought that. I have lops so it’s great info to have on my radar! Thanks Bunny House!!

Pasteurella can be chronic, but if there’s no infection, she could have malformed sinuses/nasal cavity. Does she have a very flat face? Is the snot you wipe away opaque (white, greenish etc) or is it clear?
