I just broke up with my boyfriend of 6 years- we shared a rabbit and a cat together. My rabbit is about 3 years old possibly 4 as he was a rescue. He absolutely LOVED the cat, but my boyfriend is keeping the cat. I am worried for my bunny as there are so many changes and I want him
To be happy. He no longer has his cat companion and I moved him into my new place which is very different environment.

I would love any advice on how to make sure my bunny is happy during this difficult and scary transition for him. Thank you!

Rabbits adapt surprisingly well to new environments, especially if his routine is kept the same.
Keep his food and hay the same, and possibly bribe him with additional chew toys and things to keep him occupied, and be sure to spend some time hanging out with him and makibg sure he’s not getting lonely.

I had the same concerns when I moved with my boy, but that very same afternoon, he was doing binkies in his new place. They don’t seem to mind much. Keep routine the same, food, toys, etc. As long as he still has you everyday, he should be just fine.
