Bonded pair chasing each other during food time?

  Hi all,
  
  I have two bonded bunnies, Jay and Lola, that have been bonded since July 2018. When it’s feeding time (typically morning) and one of them gets really excited, the other starts to chase. Typically, Lola chases Jay. I get very nervous and try to stop her chasing him, which she typically does when I put my hand down. Once I fill their bowls, they are happy as clams snuggling next to each other and eating from the same bowl. Just as an FYI, they have full roam of the living room and are both fixed with pretty good litterbox habits. Jay is around 2.5yo and Lola around 4.Lola is the dominant bunny.
  
  Does this happen to anyone else? I think they are fine and the chasing may be out of excitement. No one has ever tried to bite the other.

  My boy chases my girl when he’s waiting for a treat and waiting for me to top their hay up. He chases her and nibbles her butt. I think he wants to hump but never manages too lol. For them it’s normal. It’s been going on for well over a year and believe me I supervised them A LOT before I became comfortable with it. The chases aren’t fast paced and my girl just runs away/jumps round so he can’t get to her bum. Once food is down and/or he has his treat, they are back to being best buddies
  
  I personally wouldn’t worry if the chases aren’t fast paced and they arent actually looking aggressive.

  My rabbits always chase each other for pineapple skin, and it is clearly a game because they flick their heads and binky while they play

  This used to happen with Bertha and Moose, usually around breakfast time! I agree with Sarah (and mine were similar), it wasn’t a crazy all out chase, and they went back to buddies when the food was down.
