My lop, Pocky, has been scratching his head a lot lately. He has little twists of fit where he scratches, which is bizarre because it’s a completely differnet texture from the rest of his fur. What should I do? Can I brush it out? Or should I cut it?

Where on his head is this?

I would attempt to comb first. He might like the comb there if he’s itchy. How is the skin looking there?
Any chance you could get a photo of the area?

It’s on the left side, right next to his left ear.  I don’t think I can get a photo since he won’t stay still, but his skin is looking pretty alright.  I’m going to try combing, thanks for the tip!

I started combing his head and he stayed completely still.  The matted fur went away! thanks for the tip, I guess he just grooms his head often
