Joey is now 9 months old and right under 14lbs. I don’t have many update pics since I have a terrible phone with a terrible camera and my DSLR is long broken.

Here is one of her trying to hide from me. Sorry Jo Jo you are far too large to hide from me.

She’s also trying to pretend she didn’t tear that box up.

And her trying to fit her big booty in my cats litter box.

My boy Haven has had his wheelchair for a couple of months now and LOVES it.

I don’t think I’ve shared this here. But I am in the process of getting a psychiatric service dog. In the last year or so my anxiety level has become unmanageable to the point of dissociative panic attacks. At first I was bucking against the suggestion of a service dog (I have a zoo here already LOL) until I stopped being able to go to school or work outside of my house. My prospect was born on Dec. 26th and I pick him up in mid Feb. I won’t share pictures of him since I cannot remember the policy on newborn puppy/animal pictures. He is a Labrador and adorable!!!!

Joey is a Champagne D’Argent / possible Chinchilla or Giant Chinchilla mix. I can’t get it on camera but her whole back is silver now especially her booty.

Happy New year, Sonn! Pics are fine!!   We just need more of them more frequently.

                  She is so shiny.

I’m sorry to hear your anxiety is debilitating at the moment. Im more familiar with depression then anxiety but I have some family members that it really impacts. It’s amazing the help that service animals can give. I really hope it will allow you to get more on track for the year. I believe puppy pics would be fine. If it’s going to be your dog, it’s okay to show photos.

How is Tiger going with the pee pants?  I recently ordered some belly bands for my dog for some incontinence. They were a big fail!

Haven looks proud with his wheels. Did it take him some time to adjust to them?

Thank you for the updates, Sonn! Joey really is big and shiny and beautiful! I love seeing Haven with his weels. He looks so happy.

I’m sorry you are having anxiety problems. I hope getting a psychiatric service dog will be of a great help to you.

I hope a service dog will as well. I did a kind of “trial run” with one that was already task trained and it helped a TON.

Tiger is doing fantastic with his pee pants lol. At first he was so mad he refused to move an inch for hours. But then he gave in when it was feeding time and has been fine since.

Haven uses belly bands as well. Lucky for me he seemed more relieved than upset to have one on. He absolutely hates being dirty or wet so he was just happy as can be to have me put one on. I had to order two different one’s the first one’s I ordered said they were made for his size but could have honestly fit a Great Dane. Lol. The new one’s are adjustable and reusable and fit perfectly.

Here is the first pic of my pup. I haven’t started a name list for him yet so if anyone has suggestions feel free to throw them out there. He is a ‘Charcoal’ lab (I know about the color controversy but bleh not the thread or time ). He’s a week old in this pic. I may start a name thread later when he is a bit bigger.

Whoops hit submit too soon. Haven is super proud in his wheels he’s also a mischievous butt now that he knows he can speed run away and eat things off the ground.

It took some time because the default wheels were too small for him to run in so he would just kind of stand there unless I had a treat. But once I got the replacement wheels he was running all over the place.

                          She is HUGE!

Like I’m going to have to attach a pen to her XL dog crate just for night time because with her litter box she barely has room to fully stretch out when she lays down. She has the run of my bedroom all day.

Haven is so very happy in his wheels.

He also has sundowners so we are struggling with that right now. He is fine all day and then at night he screams all night. Sleep deprived is my new name. Melatonin has helped a tiny bit but so far meds the vet has given him just amps up his nighttime anxiety.

Happy New Year, Sonn!!! Nice of ya to pop in with those gorgeous pics!

I can totally sympathize to your anxiety and panic attacks. I’ve suffered from both for over 10 years now and it limits me also in what I can do. Very frustrating thing….

I’ve had social anxiety since I was a kid. Got used to that and totally avoiding anyone I didn’t know.

But when the panic attacks and anxiety attacks started I thought I was going completely crazy.

With social anxiety having a total breakdown in the middle of a crowded store is like a double whammy nightmare. Suddenly you are not only in panic mode but now there are concerned well meaning people around you and all you want to do is scream to get away because they don’t realize they are making it a billion times worse.

Yup, I’ve been there. And it’s so hard to know when a panic attack is gonna hit. I know for me, there is no rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes it happens when I’m really not feeling stressed out. I try not to let it control but easier said than done some days.

I’ve always been really shy and hated crowds. Had really bad OCD since I was a kid. The anxiety started in high school and just got worse since then.

Oh yeah! Some you can just feel coming on and have time to prepare for it. Then the others it’s like they come out of nowhere. I was just sitting at home once watching Netflix and out of nowhere had such a sudden panic attack that I fainted.

But the worst was when my panic was so severe it triggered a non-epileptic seizure. That was absolutely terrifying. Thankfully someone was with me and was able to call 911.

One of my younger cousins has OCD and I feel so bad for him. It drives him insane. His is mostly everything has to be in a perfectly straight line. When he comes over to visit he will actually start moving my furniture around so that it is all in a perfect square.

I wasn’t shy at all (I was the most extroverted child you could have met) until traumatic things happened when I was a kid.

I understand and can totally relate… am sorry that it is heightened and debilitating you to such a degree. I have Major depression, anxiety, PTSD, and a few other issues,( and some big physical ones along with too… )that maybe if I become more open across many of the forums, the diagnosis will come up… and it is incredibly hard… so glad that you have such wonderful babies to keep giving loving support to!
Please keep the wonderful pictures and updates coming and keep sharing with us! Winter is long and it can be dreary and lonely so let us continue to share with each other as our fur babies uplift us! I mean, look at these cuties!
