I just lost my beautiful 17-year-old dwarf, and only after burying the poor bunny I thought about having his DNA sequenced.  I still have his pen setup.  Does anyone know if it’s possible?  I know DNA tests aren’t particularly reliable or meaningful, but it would be one more thing to hold on to from him–he was my best friend for 16 years.  (The Humane Society thinks he was about a year old when I got him.)  It doesn’t look like many people have their rabbits sequenced, but it might be nice to have it recorded for later if they do.  And it would be nice to know a little about this fellow with a mysterious past.  (The Humane Society wasn’t keeping great records back then, and he’d eaten his.  I also wish I’d kept those, chewed parts and all.)
