hi everyone, I know there has been many topics on hay but I figured I could start my own. Bentley is really picky about hay. we got the orchard and Timothy mix at first and he was ok with it. I changed it up to western Timothy and same results. he eats it occasionally but its more like a nibble here and there throughout the day. he’s currently switching from the baby formula of Sherwoods to the adult version blue bag. I was curious as to if there’s other brands I could try. I just ordered a sample of one ear up hay Jefferys joy second cut and was thinking I could also check out small pet select since I have heard very good things about. which type would you guys recommend? also I ended up order a pretty big bag of the western Timothy hay, do you think I could donate an opened bag of it to a shelter if I end up finding a hay he likes? I live eastern part of the U.S incase there are brands that are good quality near us. TIA

You could try other types of hay. My bun loves Oxbow oat and meadow and likes Timothy okay but will only pick at orchard. It could be that you haven’t found the right one yet. I haven’t tried small pet select but I believe you can get a sample pack to see which kind your bunny prefers

Maybe try just the Oxbow Orchard? A lot of bunnies prefer it because it’s softer and sweeter.

And I’m sure a rescue would be happy for any hay donations.
