  I got my bunny on Monday and since then I have had her in her own room and not in a cage but she won’t leave the tray Tom go exercise and I’m starting to get worried

  She’s very new. Give her time to adjust to her new space and environment. Some bunnies are more timid and shy than others and can take quite a while to start to feel safe in a new place with new people. My boy Asriel would hardly come out of his cage the first 2 months we had him. Now he loves to be out, but he still considers his cage a safe space and goes and frequently goes back in it during his play time. Just be patient with her and she’ll explore when she’s ready.

  Do you know how old she is and if she’s spayed? If she’s still under 6 months, she could also get hormonal soon as well. So be on the look out for eventual territorial behavior or signs of aggression. Girls can be spayed once they reach 6 months. Until then they aren’t really developed enough for the surgery. If she’s spayed then obviously you’re good to go

  Okay the reason why I asked was your intro post said she was 2 months old, in which case no she would not have been spayed. Most pet stores won’t spay or neuter a bunny before they sell them. Most don’t really even know how to properly care for them. It’s also a good idea to get her checked out by a bunny-savvy vet while she’s still pretty new. Just to make sure she is spayed and make sure she’s healthy overall.

  On a scale from one to ten how bad is it that I could have already guessed that from how it was living and how it was treated apparently by some customers and their kids but anyway I only just realized that right before you posted that so I guess I shall look around for a vet who knows alot about rabbits in order to prepare for it

  At least she went to a loving home with someone who’s going to be patient with her and treat her right That’s why I think pet store vs breeder vs shelter sometimes makes no difference. You never know what kind of life any bun will have or could have had if you’re not the one they go home with.
