  I know pine shavings are bad, but at tractor supply the large bag of pine shavings that we get for out chickens say “kiln-dried” is it safe for rabbits?

  There are articles and research that say pine is bad, and those that say it is not bad. After reading both sides, I’m ok with pine bedding, but I dont use sawdust coz I dont think it absorbs liquid or odor. I used to use it… Now i use wood pellets. Muuuuch more effective.

  thanks for your help, i know the pellets are safe cuz there kiln dried, so kiln dried shavings would be fine right?

  I don’t know about kiln dried shavings, and im not sure exactly why shavings are bad to use, but I use canwick hardwood pellets from canadian tire (i dont know where you’re from), but they work great and are cheap and advertise as safe bedding for pets
