  Hi all! I currently share my home with my partner, our two dogs and a lovely little holland lop I adopted her from a farm about 4 months ago where she was living with another bunny who I have just committed to adopting as well- they have been separated now for the duration of those 4 months but were previously living together for at least a year and a half. They are both seniors and I know nothing about their lives before the farm My question is, does anyone have tips or thoughts on reuniting them? Should I treat the situation as if they had never met? Could there be a chance they would remember each other? Unique circumstance for me and I would appreciate any feedback! Thanks very much

  Aww, thank you for going back to get the second rabbit! I truly hope you don’t have any issue with getting them back together.
  
  I suppose I would play it safe and just try them together in a neutral space first. Since they both have lived with another rabbit before (each other!) and are older, I really think (Hope) this will be swift.
  
  A little different, but Ive had other peoples rabbits come to my home and very quickly form a bond. I start out with the bathtub or pen just to see their interaction. If it’s proving good after an hour, I keep them together – under observation. My experience has been Ive not had to separate them and the bond has strengthen over the week. Sometimes these are rabbits that have lived in same household a while or their owner has done some bonding work or just let them meet before.

  I agree with Jerseygirl – I would start from the ground up just to be safe.
  Let the other girl get settled and then start pre-bonding by swapping items to see how they re-act and go from there!
