My pair of two bonded females, Tia and Missy both passed away really suddenly a few months ago and I’m still really affected

Tia passed away from stasis in June time this year. It really really affected me, because she was my baby girl, but I did everything I could to help her so at least that’s a little bit of closure.

However, the same can’t be said about Missy.

Missy was a really, how shall I put it, opinionated, rabbit. She wasn’t afraid to give you a nip or a grunt if she wasn’t happy with you. She was a veggie eating machine and there was no skirting board too hard for her teeth and no corner of the house that could be left unchewed by the wrath of her. She absolutely loved her food.
The thing that’s really got me stumped is that, the day she died there was no indication of her being unwell. She was eating fine, doing binkies around the house, and just seemed so happy and bright. She just died overnight and I don’t know why.

The idea of her being buried under the ground is really hard on me but I won’t go into detail about it

I just honestly have no clue how she died and it’s really draining.

I’m supposed to be picking up another bunny tomorrow for my current girl Aria, but after Tia and Missy dying within days of each other I’m really paranoid that something will happen.

Like whenever Aria flops to sleep I have a mini panic and make sure she’s alive and sometimes I accidentally wake her up and feel bad.

Can anyone else relate? I just don’t want to miss something

Sadie’s mate Chi died recently ?
I totally agree-I also lost two other bunnies that same week for no apparent reason. It’s so hard to let them go ? Good luck with your new bunny, and may your other two rest easy ??

I’m very sorry you are going through this. I think it’s good that you are writing about it though. Venting can be good and productive. I lost my bunny Bam two months ago (almost). It seems so long ago since he was here and at the same time, it’s so unreal that he isn’t with me anymore. Grief comes in waves.

I know where you’re at. Vent away, I did, and it helps. I’m still not accepting Clover’s passing, and the gap she left in my life feels like hole right through me.

              We’re here for you.

Oh, Charlie. Everyone here understands. I lost Timothy suddenly nearly 14 months ago, and right now I’m sitting sobbing because that tsunami of a wave came along and it hit me again that I won’t ever see him again. And it’s really silly things like, he’s laying in our garden, it’s raining and I still cry about that because he hated getting his little feet wet. It’s hard to come to terms with it all, and we probably never will. Someone once said, it’s like a wound that seems healed on the outside but the hurting of it never goes away.

I am sorry about Missy and Tia. It is so hard to deal with.I can only say that the angels seem to want our bunnies as much as we do.

I hope your new bunny will help your grief a little.

                All the best
