  Hi all,
  
  My minilop Cocoa arrived recently. As advised we closed the bottom half of his hutch. As there’s no slider in the hutch my wife and I decided to use a piece of laminate flooring – we had loads of pieces in the attic, not being used for anything. I’ve heard that rabbits don’t like laminate flooring as it’s too slidy. He seems to be OK sitting on it, especially when there’s lots of hay on it. Should I be on the safe side and cover it with cardboard?
  
  I’m thinking of making a hidey box for him out of more laminate. Should I cover the top with carpet? I don’t want him jumping up and sliding off the top!

  If you can put rugs and carpet, that’s preferable. It gives more grip, so the rabbit can be more active and move with more relaxation.
  
  That being said, I used to live in an all-wood-laminate apartment where wick was free roam and he did tolerate it out of necessity. We are now in a carpeted apartment and he runs around much more freely now.
