Okay, I’ve done a little research but I would still like to get your opinion
I’ve had my bunny, Tilly, for 5 years now
Within the past week she has lost over half of her body hair. I can’t tell if it’s normal shedding or a sign of something more serious. Please help. ☹

Looks like a heavy molt to me. My bunnies have been shedding like crazy.

Bunnies really can molt like crazy. In the summer of 2017 my bunny molted so he got big bald spots on his back. So if your bun’s skin looks fine and feels smooth, I don’t think you have a problem. Brush and comb him to help him get rid of the loose hairs, otherwise a rabbit can get a blockage from ingesting to much fur.

Definitely a molting bun! Looks a lot like my Julep did about a month and a half ago. If it does get to the point where there are bald spots like Bam said, keep an eye on them. If they seem to be dry or itchy and irritated you can use a little coconut oil on them. Julep has had that happen plenty of times and the oil has helped to sooth any irritation or itching as the new fur comes in. Good luck with all that fur!
