My three year old just called out to me “Mommy!  Bunnius is trying to steal my cereal!” and I rolled my eyes and said “The bunny doesn’t want your cereal.”  and she yelled again  “She’s stealing my rice krispies!” so I went in the other room and indeed, Bunnius had climbed in my daughter’s lap and was quite insistently trying to get at her cereal.  What on earth?  It made me laugh, but I am baffled as to why she seemed so eager to eat cereal.  Up until now the only thing she’s ever tried to eat from the kids is when they have an apple or a carrot.

If I’ve ever dropped a piece of cereal near my rabbits, they are on it in a flash. They love the sweet, crispy taste of cereal.

That’s funny, I wouldn’t have thought of cereal as being desirable to bunnies. Now I know to keep it out of her reach!

Oh yes. Ive read lots of times about rabbits being crazy for cheerios and the likes.

I misread the title for this thread as “Cecal thief” and thought it would be about one rabbit stealing anothers cecatrophs. Gave me a chuckle.

My bunster will climb right up on to your face for a bit of cereal. Smothers his gran if she ever brings a bowl near him.

Ditto. I have to eat cereal at the kitchen table when Elara is out or her face will be in my bowl.

Bunnies are greedy little things and they would practically eat almost anything. I’d think cereal is definitely somewhere at the top of the weird things they (shouldn’t) like!

And thus, a grossed-out LPT became a vegetarian jk But still a hilarious story.
