So I recently got a bunny about a week ago and was told he’s a mini lop but he’s so small and fits in my hand so I’m not very sure that’s true plus his ears are still up and apparently he was 6 weeks old when I got him.

        Any opinions?

I’m assuming you are referring to your statement in your profile:

So I got a bunny about a week ago and was told he’s a mini lop but he looks so small he even fits in my hand and was told he’s about 6 weeks old plus his ears are so straight up so I don’t even believe he’s a mini lop

He wasn’t really ready to leave mom at 6 weeks old but some lops take a few months before their ears start to hang down.

The lady I got him from made me believe he was ready:/ and also it’s weird because one of the bunnies from the same litter already had it’s ears down mine didn’t and one other one didn’t either. I’m just confused because many people have said that mini lops are bigger at six weeks and mines pretty small. I would post a photo of him but it wouldn’t let me

              Hi Yasmin

I inserted the photo for you and some text that was only appearing in asummary line.

He’s lovely. I just love that soft dove-grey colour.
Some ears can lop a lot latter then expects, so this could still happen yet. His back thumpers certainly remind me of lop bunnies.

I have a holland lop and her ears didn’t fall until she was about 5 months old. Some of her litter mates had lopped at 8 weeks old.

Oh look at his little face! Truly adorable! I got both my mini lops when they were just over 8 weeks but I’d seen them a couple of weeks before and they were already lopped. Sam on here is a lop and took a while for his ears to drop so it really does vary.

He’s gorgeous as he is but with lopped ears, he’ll be gorgeous too. Have you named him yet?

Oh wow yeah I have been seeing many people say it takes a while sometimes. Were her ears so straight up like mine?

Ahh thank you. Yes he is super cute and tiny which adds to his adorableness. I truly love him and have grown so attached in the past week haha and yes I named him Russ.

He has the smushed face and big fuzzy feet lops often have, so I’m suspecting his ears will be subject to gravity at one point haha.

He is one adorable not-yet-floppy loppy.

Just overwhelmed with the cuteness. And I love the name. It seems unique from most names that I come across on here. It’s short. Has a nice look to it. “Russ” It’s kind of round, soft, and fluffy looking, just like a little bunny.
