        Hello everybody!

I am looking to purchase or build an enclosure for my two Holland lop bunnies.

I used to live in a relatively large house but had to move to a condo recently. Bubba and Poe used to have their own room which was great! Now that my living arrangements are smaller, I don’t have a space that I can dedicate solely to them.

When I am home, they are free roaming, but when I am at work, I feel better leaving them in an enclosure of some sort where they can’t get into trouble. At the moment, I just put them in a playpen, but I would like to have something less temporary like a rabbit condo or a hutch? I am willing to spend the money but I want to do it right. I don’t want to buy something over the internet that turns out to be cheaply made. I am not super crafty, but I am willing to build it if that is the best option! It needs to be big enough to house both of them and I want them to be happy.

A little bit about them, they both like to climb – I know it sounds weird – they like to be higher up so that they can see me do things and watch me…maybe something with two stories? Also, Bubba likes to sometimes hide in dark places so something with a little hiding nook might be good?

I need suggestions. Has anybody purchased an enclosure they are happy with? Or does anybody have plans for something they built?

        Thanks!

Hi, I’ve never bought an enclosure but I used pens for my buns until they got their own rooms. You can buy 2 pens and make them a huge space but if they like to climb, they might jump out of it but you can always put a top on it or get taller pens, and of course they will free roam when you are home. If you go with this option, you can put cardboard boxes in there so they can dig and destroy them but also hid in them for protection.

Ditto to Bunny House, maybe some dog pens, with things like boxes. If you do want them to be able to climb, a condo would be best

If they like to climb then it sounds like you could build them a condo using grids. If you google “NIC Grid Bunny Condo” you should be able to find some examples
