Lop is a 4 year old desexed male. We had an instance of GI stasis about a year ago. He’s pooed this morning and eaten a bit of his veggies breakfast so we’re not in code red yet. But he’s eaten less than normal, both veggies this morning and his evening pellets. He has free access to first cut Timothy hay at the moment, has not been touched since last night (far as I can tell, the area is very clean). He’s pretty low energy at the moment and quick to lay on his belly (not normal for him. He’s a fan of the bunny bean mode of sitting hence my user name). I’m not super concerned yet because he did just poo but is there anything anyone would suggest offering him right now? We do have critical care on hand.

Worth mentioning we’re in the process of bonding him so stress levels have been higher than normal, we’ve been seeing smaller poos on and off for the entire process so far (2 months).

Have you been giving him baby gas drops? And making sure he is drinking water( you can syringe feed it if you don’t have fluids at home)

The stress from bonding might explain it. Give him some critical care if you think he needs it. Watch his behaviour for the next while. Have the option of going to the vets on hand.

                Thank you both!
He’s nibbled and eventually finished all his offered food. Just much slower than normal. Still hasn’t touched his hay. I did go out and get the baby gas drops to have as a just in case. We’ve given him a long exercise time too in an open room, so just hoping if it was the start of stasis that it’s not going to get any worse

You can give .5ml -1ml every hours or so since it doesn’t get processed by any organs it won’t hurt anything and do soft tummy massages too!

He had .5mL of gas drops shortly after my last post, he then had a greater appetite when we fed him that evening.
In the morning he’d clearly been picking through his hay and eating some of it, ate all his dinner. Happy bunno again.

<3 Thanks all. Gas drops were a good suggestion I'd forgotten about them. Nice to have as a just in case.
