Hi! So I’m thinking of getting my rabbit a different comb that actually work because I have about 200 at the moment and none of them work at all. I stumbled upon the furminator and hair buster and I’m not sure which one to buy for my bun. Any suggestions?

I made my own hairbuster comb. Got a comb that looks like the hairbuster one (on sale, so super cheap), and threaded a wide rubber band through it, every few tines). Works a treat. Now if only my Chewbacca didn’t fight me whenever I try to use anything other than my bare hands to defloof him.

I have a furminator for my dog, I don’t think it works well for my rabbit.

Hmm… it would depend on the fur type, but I would be afraid a furminator would be too harsh for delicate bunny skin.

I used to like the furminator for my Mini-Rex. Also worked well on my bunny (but needed to be used very gently) who had short, shiny type fur. The Hairbuster works amazing on my NZ mix.

I have both, and I personally vote for the hair buster. The hair buster is amazing when my boys are shedding. I don’t know their breed specifically as I think they are mixed and are Cinnamon and something else. I use a smaller soft silicone brush to get off the excess little hairs after using the hair buster.
