this is rex, i got him 2 months ago from the pet store, but rex has no sort of mane. is there any way he is a different breed? i’m just unsure because i’ve had lion heads in the past.

What a sweetie! He’s got the japanse harlequin colouration, though this is not limited to only the Harlequin breed.
Did the store tell you he was a lionhead? Did they know/see his parents? It is possible to have un-maned lionheads.

I’m almost certain he’s a lionhead. My boy looked just like him when he was little, and after his first big moult, his mane and train came in. I’m seeing the same early floof on your little guy – especially in the cheeks and skirt area.

It looks like he is lionhead mix. His ears are too long to be a pure lionhead. He’s very cute!

He’s lovely, looks like he could be getting a mane, a little stubble round his face.

Maybe a lionhead cross. <3 My first bun was a lionhead. Gorgeous buns with fantastic personalities.

                            (ps. He is adorable!)
