My spayed 2 y/o girl Eve lost her lifelong partner recently. We’re adopting a neutered adult male from the humane society to bond with her, but someone else has also offered me their neutered 1y/o male. Logically I know it’d be easiest to just adopt the boy from the shelter, but is there a good chance two stranger males and my girl could bond together? Or is it more likely they’d never all three get along at the same time? All of the groups I know of grew up together.

Rabbits of any sex can be socialized as long as they are spayed and/or neutered. Both bucks would absolutely have to be neutered for it to work out

It helps if they grew up together but is not necessary for success.

I have a trio of buns that didn’t grow up together. It can be done, but its definitely harder, and I’ve heard that the bond needs more maintenance over time. Sometimes one bunny gets left out and you basically have a bonded pair and a sad tag along. I’m very paranoid whenever I see one of my three alone and the other two together, but actually having watched I think they all spend about equal amounts of time alone so there’s not one bunny that’s left out. My three are very happy, and it’s nice because there’s always another bunny for them to snuggle with!

You would need to do extensive prebonding and have a good neutral area to bond in.

Thanks for the replies! I think I’d better just suck it up and stick with just a pair. I got ahead of myself looking at all of the options of cute rabbits I could potentially have haha
