I’m Angie, mama to two lionhead/lop mixes Porky and Radish (Rads or Raddy for short). I’ve been a longtime lurker ever since before I even got my 2 buns. This forum has helped me so much with how to prepare and care for them, and I finally decided to come out of the woodwork to come introduce myself and the buns!

Porky and Rads were born in the same litter in October 2017. A friend of a friend had an oopsie litter, and I have wanted a rabbit since I was in high school (graduated like 2011 so it’s been a while). From photos, I fell in love immediately with the brown little furball that would eventually become my Porkbun the porky bunny. I knew I had to take him home or else I would forever regret it. When I met the litter in person, ohmygoodness it was like my heart melted. Porky was a mini energizer bunny, running back and forth, sniffing everything in his path while his litter mates napped. I placed my finger in front of him, and the little nugget fearlessly came up, sniffed and gave me a solid nose BOOP. And of course, there were five other fur balls needing a good home, so how could I leave with just one?! Plus thanks to the internet and BB, I kept reading all the stories of buns thriving with a bunny friend, so both for the sake of my animal loving heart and Porky’s social life, I decided to pick one more. There was a baby who had a crazy mane (def inherited from her lionhead mama) and the gentlest demeanor. She wasn’t fussy when she was picked up, and she settled into my arms as I pet her head. I couldn’t help but coo over how adorable this thing was. AND bam, fell in love again and went home with not one but two buns who have added a whole ‘nother dimension to my life in the best way.

These days, Porky is a curious and adventurous boy, who loves nothing more than getting to places he’s not supposed to go. He’s my little troublemaker, and knows exactly what he shouldn’t be doing, but does it anyway the minute I turn my head Rads was my sweet, affectionate girl, who unfortunately passed away this past Sunday after her spay. I miss her so so much and so does Porky.

Here is a picture of my two babies

I look forward to talking with all of you guys and sharing stories about the trouble that porky and Rads used to get into together and the shenanigans that Porky will undoubtedly continue to cause!

          Hi and welcome!
They are adorable and Im so sorry for your loss. It seems like you gave her a great life and thats the best a momma can do! My lop is a trouble maker too, i think it is lops in general and he looks just like my Penelope.
You can post a thread in the rainbow bridge if it would make you feel better and relive her happy life while you had her.

Aww they’re just too cute <3 I'm sorry to hear that Radish passed – spay surgeries are just so invasive, but it's necessary to prevent further issues. You were doing the right thing but unfortunately accidents still happen Binky free little Rads xx

Looking forward to hearing more about Porky and hope he perks up soon!

Hi! They are adorable. I’m so sorry about Rads. She does look like a sweetheart. If Porky continues to grieve, maybe you could find another bun to give a loving home to and she could be his new friend . In the meantime, I hope you and Porky can find solace being in each other’s company.

              Binky free Radish
