        Hi all,

I bought some wheatgrass for my bun from the farmer’s market and he really loved it. I left the planter on the floor for him to nibble and didn’t think much of it. But this morning when I picked it up, I saw some mold had formed in the soil where the wheatgrass seeds sprout. Sometimes my bunny would pull the grass out of the planter and eat it, so I am now worried me may have consumed some of the mold in the planter. Any advice on what to do and what I should be looking for would be so appreciated. He had a little lettuce this morning but hasn’t eaten much else yet.

I would continue to monitor for abnormal behaviors or health signs, like weird poop or odd levels of energy (low or high). I would also check around his mouth for any topical concerns, whether it be the start of crustiness or fur loss.

I’m sure you have already, but definitely get rid of all moldy consumables and sanitize anything you may be keeping that had contact with the mold.

Thank you. I tossed the wheatgrass. His poop looks normal but I will definitely keep watching him.
