Is it hormones? Or is it totally normal?

Basically she keeps me up a lot of the night sitting on my chest and licking me to death. Then she wakes me up at 5 am nudging her head under my hand demanding pets haha she isn’t doing anything else really differently but she seems extra clingy this past week. (She’s free roam) She is about 3 and a half months old.

Also, when she’s not being lovey and letting me sleep, she tends to act like a guard dog or something and is frozen in one spot, like alert, all night listening for things and just has her eyes wide open (yes I’m aware they can sleep with their eyes open but she isn’t sleeping) and then once I’m up and doing stuff during the day, she tends to pass out completely on my bed and decides its safe to sleep haha. Does she thinks we’re taking guard in turns or something?? XD Poor thing..makes me feel bad she’s so tired after the night. I was hoping her schedule would follow mine a bit. At least I was told that usually happens.

I wish my buns loved on me that much  haha but it has to be hormonal, or she hasn’t been getting as much attention from you lately so she is bugging you.

Bunnies tend to sleep during the day and up at night so it doesn’t seem alarming, she probably does want to guard you if she is very close to you!

I wold suggest to get her spayed soon( I forget at what age) so she doesn’t start to annoy you with all her love as it might get more aggressive as she gets older

She gets so much attention because I work from home she’s always sitting next to me and getting pets so I have no idea hahaha
and yeah she’s just not old enough to get spayed yet but I plan on it as soon as it’s possible

I think it’s spring. Clover has gotten extremely lovey lately, and she’s pretty darned cuddly already. She insists on sitting next to me in my recliner, and nevermind she takes the entire seat up on her own. Every morning she’ll sit with me for hours, blissfully dozing. And when she’s not doing that, she’s sitting on my toes.

              I love it.

Aw she sounds like an absolute sweetheart. I wish my bunnies would behave like that lol.

Does she have activities to do during the night to occupy her?

She has lots of chew toys and such and she has lots of room to run but not sure what else to give her. I’m thinking of getting her some cat jungle gym furniture in the future at some point for her to sit/climb on if she stops chewing up carpet (I’m going to try to get her a grass plant/mat to chew up) but yeah she’s just little still so maybe she’s just all over idk

I’m a bit worried about the alertness you describe. Is she constantly alert like: ears up, standing on hind legs and checking for danger? Have things changed lately, or are there new sounds which stress her out? Construction in the area, neighbours with new noises etc?

Breintje had several episodes of super alertness: once when I had mice which were active at night, and when my computer monitor got older and started to give off a high-pitched sound. When I had mice Breintje was constantly “being naughty”: scrabbling at furniture, trying to get behind the tv stand etc. When my monitor got older he had unexplained bouts of alertness and massive grumpyness. A friend of mine frequently dropped by for a beer. One night I was gaming, so I just shut down the monitor and left the PC on. Breintje went wild and actually bit my friend twice that week. We started to inspect the room for any oddities and heard a high beep coming from the monitor, just on the edge of hearing. When I unplugged the monitor Breintje chilled out.

No, she’s not that super alert. She’s just definitely awake and aware. Most the night. Some of it she relaxes next to me but yeah just noticed I’d wake up here and there to see her perched wide awake sitting still for a long time. She’s more relaxed when I’m awake
