I feel like I’m posting here a lot, lately >.> In any case, I posted something similar before and – I have actually booked him in to be neutered next week, so that solution is already underway. In any case – I’m constantly being confused by this little bun; he’s been changing mood more time than a woman (I’d know, I am one!) and its not in the sense of he just hops away or turns his back on me.

One minute he’ll be hopping around, rather happy (free range) – coming up to me and joining me on the sofa for a minute or so before going on his merry way. Other times, i’ll be on the floor either on my phone or the xbox – sometimes on the computer in my chair and i’ll go to stroke him – going from the side so he knows i’m coming as I thought perhaps it was due to going from the front which he didn’t like. He’ll lower his head to permit me to stroke him, or otherwise stay still before suddenly grunting and without warning starting to dig at my hand. He’ll then either glare at me, or hop away. Any other attempts after that is met with contempt. Even lying near him will cause him to grunt at me, as though he has suddenly lost any and all trust in me, and thinks I’m going to harm him.

Everything started off so great, and I was loving every minute of his company but as of late.. I don’t know; I love him to bits, but I feel like I’m arguing with him more than we’re getting along; if i’m not slightly annoyed at this behaviour, I feel quite disappointed and upset! I mean, sometimes when he digs at my hand and grunts, its like a total rejection, lol.

Hopefully this post isn’t irritating anyone as I know that repeated, or similar problems being brought up in multiple posts can be tiresome and a waste of time. I do apologise if that’s the case, its really not the intent. As mentioned, he’s got plenty of space, time out of his cage and loads of toys. He is booked in to be neutered next week after pay day.

        Any thoughts?

        Thanks in advance.

It really sounds like a case of hormones, so I don’t think there’s any further advice since you’ve got him booked in for a neuter already. Please don’t feel annoyed and rejected, this is behaviour he can’t help and probably doesn’t even understand himself.

Also be prepared for his behaviour to get weirder/worse in the month immediately following the neuter, where there is often a hormone surge.

Sorry for the lack of reply; thanks a lot for your reply – I’ll bear that mind in regard to his neutering. He was really loving last night at least! Seemed to just want to be held all of a sudden and was quite content to sit on my knee.

Hopefully there’ll be more days like that after his neutering.
