  About 5 months ago I bonded my two rabbits. They were doing really well, mostly just licking each other and cuddling but I’ve noticed they have started chasing each other around my bed. One will nudge the other and then they will start running around it and if one stops the other will nudge them and then they will run again. I was wondering if this is just how some rabbit play or something else. My older rabbit (Hamilton) will also chase my younger rabbit (Piper) when I give them treats. Piper doesn’t seem to enjoy it and I don’t know how to make Hamilton stop, so I just don’t give them treats very often. I also just recently found out that they are both males and Piper is now 6 almost 7 months and I haven’t been able to get him neutered, could it be a dominance thing?

  Baby rabbits cannot bond; they make friendships, but those friendships do not turn into bonding until after hormones are removed from the equation. Rabbits who are not spayed/neutered will act aggressively as their hormones kick in. It also takes about two months before hormones drain in males. Youre playing with fire keeping them together knowing that aggression has begun.

  It doesn’t sound like your bunnies are bonded. Looking at a thread you posted back in January, the bite mark could be a result of fighting now that you mention this. They will need to be separated until Piper gets neutered and then begin the proper bonding process.
