Thought I’d start this thread with a pic of both my beloved white bunnies. What beautiful angels they must be. 

And Hoppy May Day!!! Elara is the Queen of May Day wearing her handmade felt flower crown I stayed up late last night making. 

     

And here is a less than festive looking Kyle wearing it. 

This wonderful gift arrived in the mail today from one of my FB friends. I cried. It’s so beautiful and perfect.  So thankful for wonderful friends who really understand how much my bunnies mean to me.

Honestly, I posted that pic and barely looked at it. I still can’t really look at pics of either without bawling. Two wonderful bunnies, lost much too close together. Miss them both so terribly.

She got the angel through Amazon.ca, a company called “The Pavilion Gift Company.”

Don’t you hate it when you have one foot out the door to go to work, and then you see this… 

 

I had to get him out, I knew the cats would have gotten to him by the time I got back from work. So I frantically searched for something to catch him with (ended up dumping my cherry tomatoes out and using the plastic container) and wrestled him off the curtain, all the while thinking “Gonna be late for work… gonna be late for work…” *stops to take pictures* “…gonna be late for work…” 

He doesn’t look too big in the pictures, but he was the biggest gecko I have ever seen, and boy was he not pleased with me…

By the looks of “wee” Holly’s left ear and her left eye looking over her shoulder, I’d say someone is interrupting her studying by taking a picture.

They get on so well so quickly it’s been great. Trying to litter train Holly bun not so good so far she poops everywhere! She’s a little imp and cheeky too.

Oh my Hazel that’s a big gecko! Where are you located? I love lizards but we have practically no native ones in the northern US

And yes Thor is soooo soft. I didn’t realize how different her fur was when we adopted her until I pet other friend’s rabbits. I think she may be part satin, or part cloud

Squee! I should have picked up on this thread way earlier! Missed so much beautiful bunnies… Basil’s got such a wonderful coat colour, that’s lilac if I’m correct, no?

I’m practicing with photos, because I need to learn how to take good pictures for my portfolio when I want to start my atelier. One of my choices for this atelier is to go as animal-friendly as I can. I refuse to use real fur on items, especially because so much fur comes from bunnies If possible I’d also like to offer my clients animal-free leather and wool replacements if they ask for it. We have a lot of vegetarians and vegans within the LARP scene, and several people with wool allergies.

One of the pictures I’d like to use is one with Breintje. It contains a slogan with a double meaning pun in Dutch. “Wij maken het niet te bont!” means “We won’t take it too far!”. The word “bont” in this context means “wild, crazy, overdone”. It can be used to describe crazy colours too. However, the word “bont” is also the word for fur, so it can also be read as: “We won’t make it too furry!”.
I’d have to take a better pic with Breintje, but I think this one already gets the message across.

Hi Ellie from the Netherlands. Sorry just noticed your post mentioning Basils coat. It does look a bit lilac in the picture it must be the light ! He is a kind of beige colour with little bits of black through it and it is like velvet to touch.

Thank you so much for posting these pictures for me! It means so much! I hope the pictures from yesterday’s playtime work.   While Thumper’s been exploring and playing more during playtime, Blossom has found a comfortable place behind the garbage cans.  We still don’t know their breeds or genders.  My little sister thinks that they’re Rex but I’m not 100% sure, I think that they could be mini rex with a bit of lop mixed in somewhere due to Thumper’s ears.

That’s the things, it wasn’t an albino, and up close you could see it’s little brown eyes.  And close up, you could see it had the standard squirrel fur patterns, but they were in colors of white cream and blonde, for lack of a better term.

Ah, so that was it! I thought your phone didn’t get the colours right.
Mine gets them wrong all the time, when there’s too much or too little light, so we dubbed it SpudPhone.
It’s quite annoying if you want to snap a cute bunny pic. I’ll definitely be looking for one with a better camera when it’s time to upgrade.

Yay, I managed to snap a cute pic of Breintje when he got his plate of strawberry leaves. He reacts differently if I watch him, so I snuck my phone underneath the table and took this pic.

Four layers of forage from today. Mostly plantain, some dandelion and one catsear. We have a rental inspection coming up so I’m going to have to deal with the weeds (probably spraying) so I foraged all I could today to save it. Just have to wait for it to dry now.

@Azerane: that’s such a good idea! I have a lot of dandelions growing on my terrace. How do you dry them without getting rot?

I grew pretty tired with Breintjes antics today. He refuses to use cooling elements, frozen bottles or other stuff to keep him cool: he just pushes them away and choses another place to mope about being hot  The only other option I know is to mist his ears with water, but then I have a grumpy bunny on my hands. I decided to give him some pets on the floor and slowly laid a cold beer against his side while I continued to pet him. He actually sat still next to it for a while, then he licked some of the condensation off. Let’s see if this finally makes him understand the concept.

Breintje finally learned how to cool down: a nice piece of cold fruit and a fan. Nowadays he loves the fan so much that he loafs next to it at times. Like it’s a new roomie.
