Bun is free range and is super active. In her litter box we have a paper type “bedding.” She likes to sit in there after she’s done her business so her back paws are dirty / yellowed any suggestions on how to prevent the staining/dirty hocks? Maybe a different litter suggestion? I read to not attempt to clean them and let her do it on her own but as I said she likes sitting in her litter box so her little white feet are not so white! Please give me any suggestions!

What color is she? Both of my boys have white paws, so their paws are actually always a yellow tint just from living.

To stop her from sitting in her litter, you could purchase a litter screen. That way when she sits she’s not directly on the litter. You could also purchase a litter box that comes with a screen. My boys use the Ware Jumbo litter pans because they love to lounge in their boxes, and it makes sure they stay clean ? For litter, you could try switching to wood stove pellets. A lot of people really like them because it’s super absorbent.

My female is completely white but sometimes she has a slight tinge to her paws just from being in the litter box, running around, standing on her hay etc. She used to have a green tinted nose from the readigrass too lol. She’s not on Readigrass now so that staining went away but I just noticed she’s got a little staining under her chin area from her hay. It’s all part of having a white bun!

I wouldn’t try cleaning them. You wouldn’t be able to use anything other than just water anyway and if her paws aren’t coming up clean from her grooming herself, then I doubt water would remove the stains. It might be unsightly but it’s harmless

She’s white with black spots! The site won’t let me upload an avatar so no one can see how cute she is haha I haven’t seen a litter box with a screen! I will be looking into that! Sounds like less mess too!!
