When Ophelia came up for pets this morning, I noticed that her nose was a little “wet”. Wasn’t any discharge or anything. It has gotten really cold, in the 20s, and it’s Florida so there’s a lot of moisture in the air. normal?

She could’ve dipped her nose in water, been a bit sloppy with grooming, etc.. if it was a one time incident, I don’t think it’s something to worry about. If it becomes more frequent, consider potential items that irritate the nose, environment, and URIs as appropriate. She could have been breathing near something and her nose could have picked up condensation from her own breathe as well!

Some bunnies tend to have damp noses. It could be from their drinking water or just a normal condition for them. I have had bunnies like that and I’ve read about others here that had bunnies with damp noses. As long as you aren’t seeing any discharge, there is likely no problem.

Ok! I’ll make sure to vacuum this weekend and dust, just to get those irritants out of the way and I’ll keep an eye on it. I have noticed it before, but if I gently wipe it and check again it doesn’t come back. Maybe it’s from her water bowl. She also likes to sniff around in her food bowl when there isn’t anything in it. Wishful thinking I guess, haha. Her bowl is glass so maybe when it’s cold and she sniffs in it there’s some condensation from warm breath hitting cold glass?

Some buns get condensation dampness on their noses. If no other symptoms, it’s harmless.

Yep, Leopold has a bit of dampness under his nose when it’s colder. It’s just condensation.
