I just rescued a bunny named Penelope about 2 weeks ago, and she’s sooooooooo fantastic. Shes 7 months old, (8 on the 24th), and I just had a few questions and wanted to see if anyone else’s rabbits did this.

She’s become very fond of me, and so I’ll let her hang out on my bed with a few toys for about an hour or so a couple times a day. Except, every time I put her down or put her back in her cage, she gets mad for a moment. She’ll stamp her back foot a few times or chew on her cage wire before huffily laying down on a perch. She doesn’t do this whenever I put her back after exploring other rooms though, its just solely when I take her off of my bed. I always hold and transport her correctly, so I’m guessing that shes just mad because she likes it on my bed??  I’m gonna be taking her into the vet over the week sometime soon just to get an exam on her and to get her spayed, just because shes been passed around to a lot of people under poor living conditions and I want to make sure that she’s healthy. (She’s also been humping my leg recently so I doooooon’t think that she’s spayed xD)

She probably is mad at you because she doesn’t want to be in the cage! A bed is so nice and soft and comfy…much better than a cage Ophelia doesn’t have a cage she just roams my apartment and she is quite fond of my bed as well.
