Last night I was on the couch watching some TV, low and behold a bunny landed on my face  As Ophelia scrambled to get off of my face without scratching me to bits (thanks for that, by the way) I noticed how she has such a nice clean smell- kinda like how babies smell so clean (before they poop themselves…

I started to ask her “how do you smell so nice for someone who eats poop?”  And it got me thinking, what might some of you guys ask in a bunny Q&A ?

Peanut why do you look in the litter box and then proceed to pee next to it? Why do you and your sister insist on pooping in the litter tray spot when I pick it up to clean it? (There’s a second litter tray down!) Peanut, why do you look so damn cute and innocent when you are the naughty one!

Buttercup, why are you so bloody sweet yet you look grumpy AF all the time lol. Why do you pretend to be hungry all of a sudden when you see me with the grooming mitt?

Bunnies, do you love me as much as I love you? <3

Bam, what does it mean when you start digging frantically in the blanket when you’re sitting in my lap? It’s not like I make you sit there, you can hop away anytime you like and you do that, so what’s with the frenzied digging?

(Mummy, I’m a rabbit. Rabbits dig! *rolls his eyes*)

Bombur, why do you dig all of the hay out of the rack and proceed to pee in it? And why do you look so innocent after?

Asriel, why do you look on with jealousy as your brother gets kisses and cuddles? But whenever you’re out you ask for some nose rubs then quickly run away and stare at me?

bahahaha they have really refined the art of looking so utterly innocent while simultaneously doing something so bad! They are masters of disguise!

Sara, I would sooooo ask bun if she loves me as much <3 Buttercup looking grumpy af… XD hilarious

Bam, I could ask Ophelia that too!! Or why does she look so angry while she digs and rips at the blanket on the couch…we laugh at her all the time because she looks like she is out to murder the blanket, frantically digging and biting at it…then you go over to pet her and she just totally gives up on her quest to destroy the blanket and melts into a fur puddle!

A&B, sounds like you have a classic sibling rivalry on your hands XD And when we had Quincy around, he was going to have to get a job and buy his own hay if he didn’t stop spreading it all over and peeing on it the instant you gave it to him!

                  These are awesome. :]

I think my sincere question would be, “Are you happy?”

But I’d also love to know about the random, mid-grooming binkies. I get the big, racing, jump-for-joy binkies, but what is up with the little ones you do when you’re in the middle of licking your foot or washing your face?

                  Lick, lick, lick…
OMG I’m so clean! *shakes head, launches into the air*
Now, what was I doing just now? Oh, right…
                  *immediately goes back to grooming*

Pinknfwuffy, that’s of course what I’d ask Bam too. Most of all I’d want to ask him to PROMISE to tell me if he isn’t feeling well.

I am so with you on that one Bam, especially with Bombur. We’ve had so many scares with him. Every time he’s chilling out or taking his time eating, the hubs is always like “is he okay? is he sick? do we need to take him to the vet?” Poor bun sometimes just wants to chill in his litter box.

Oh totally another question I’d ask the two of them: why do you lay in your litter box? is it really that comfy?

I think my most common questions all boil down to, “Whaaaaaat are you doing?” hahah

A & B, I can totally relate to always being worried whenever they aren’t actively eating or running around.. especially recently… Are they sleeping or in pain? Just sick of romaine or is something wrong?? Poor Bertha, everytime I come home mid-day and she’s napping I have to wake her up to make sure she’s fine. She’s prob like, “Jeeez mom, this is my beauty rest!”.

So yeah, just being able to ask, “How are you?” would be great.

I’d ask Fernando, “what flavors of Oxbow Simple Rewards do you really like – aside from apple and banana?” He can be so darn picky sometimes – he’ll take cranberry or carrot/dill one day, then turn up his nose at it the next. Oh yes, and herbs. I experimented with giving them herbs as treats for a while but decided to just put it into their salad because I couldn’t find one that Fernando would accept, though Panda took them all. As for Panda I’d ask her why she finds that (half-chewed-up by now) Coronita hidey box so inviting; it’s her favorite shelter place since they moved in with me in August but I’m not sure what makes it different from all the other boxes that I’ve converted into hidey boxes for them.

I’d also ask Ophelia why she ONLY pees in one corner of her litter box!! It’s actually quite impressive.

I’d ask Ophelia to teach my rabbits

I don’t know when she decided to start doing it, but she is so consistent with it! Cleaning her boxes out is a breeze. But I don’t understand the logic of spreading out a fresh pile of hay as soon as she gets it and then just pooping all over it …

At least all she does is poop in it. Bombur pees in his.
